Bon Jovi rock the Ricoh
Rock band Bon Jovi wowed the crowds with their gig at the Ricoh Arena.
Jon Bon Jovi demonstrated why he still manages to fill stadiums to capacity with his natural charisma with the crowd.
He belted out current tracks from latest album Have A Nice Day together with classic hits such as Keep the Faith, Wanted Dead or Alive, Wild in the Streets, Bad Medicine and Runaway to a crowd of 40,000 people of all ages who went to see the rockers in action.
His exceptional voice and effortless performance illustrated why the band have an enduring appeal after 20 years in the business and album sales of over 100 million.
Jon Bon Jovi effortlessly held the crowd's attention for the two and a half hour set with an energetic non stop performance coupled with boundless enthusiasm.
But although there was a great mix of old and new tracks I personally felt the band's earlier music such as I'll Be There For You and Blood on Blood reinforced the reason why the band stay at the top.
Their more recent tracks just didn't seem to compare to the old classics like I'll Be There For You - impressively performed solo by guitarist Richie Sambora which captivated the audience.
But overall the concert was well organised, the weather was fantastic and the band including drummer Tico Torres and David Bryan on keyboards delivered an impressive night of popular rock for all ages.
