Default Croke Park Capacity

there's been a lot of talk here about what the capacity is for Croke Pk...the capacity for a GAA match is 82,500 so i guess that puts it at about 85-90k for a concert after taking out Hill 16 and adding people on the pitch...

82,000 is spot on. regulations won't allow any more in a confined space.

Yeah, and it looks like the lower of the two tiers at the back is just about gone, so, pretty much sold out already. Absolutley amazing.

I was checking for the capacities of the other European venues and as far as I can see, it's the 2nd biggest venue after Wembley Stadium! Can you believe it, the second biggest show of this tour will take place in little old Ireland! Hell yeah!

wembley's capacity is going to be set at 71,200 for concerts.
it has a 70,000 general admission seats for sporting events and 90,000 including hospitality, ie. hotels and funtion/conference rooms.

I found this a bit of a disappointment as i was expecting the full 90,000 because of the hype about it.

Oh well, still gonna be a great gig.

I would say that there will easy be 80k-90k there as the standing will account for a hell of a lot of people along with the 3 stands.

As for Croke Park man that stadium looks amazing and with 80k+ in there the place will be booming. Going to both gigs but the Wembley one will be a milestone in the bands career although I don't doubt us Irish will maybe beat them for atmosphere.
