Since Germany went on presale and the dates still aren't officially announced it might be worth checking out ticketmaster every so often...

It could be that another artist is in negotiations for Croke Park, but it won't be the Eagles. Amazingly, despite having just released a highly successful new album, they apparently aren't planning to capitalise on this by touring anytime soon. Joe Walsh initially said that the band was planning to tour extensively in 2008, but has subsequently been corrected by Don Henley (who, along with Glenn Frey, is basically in charge of Eagles business decisions). Apparently Henley wants to do a solo album, and Glenn Frey is said to be preparing for his musical theatre debut as Billy Flynn in Chicago(!). So the Eagles are unlikely to be touring again until Autumn 2008 at the earliest, and since they always prioritise the US, I wouldn't expect to see them in Europe again until summer 2009. Since they sold out Lansdowne Road twice in 2006, they could easily fill Croke Park - though they may face some opposition as U2 may also be touring in 2009.

Yes, I'm going to admit it: I am an Eagles fan. In fact, I was hoping that they would be touring next year. But I fully expect to be seeing Bon Jovi in Croke Park next summer - though I wish they'd reveal the date. Dublin hotels are expensive enough in the summer, and the prices can mysteriously rise a little higher if there happens to be big concerts on in the city.

Have you never heard of hostels? Dublins coming down with them, and for 15 euro you cant go far wrong. I'm down in Dublin 2-3 times a month for different gigs and just stay in a hostel, its so easy...unless your the type of person who needs room service..?!
