great photo

the crowd seemed a little quiet at times to me... but then when they WERE very loud, shouting for tico, or continuing the IBT4U chant, Jon just ignored them

well compared to the other shows the crowd in Ostend was quiet... Or maybe just the ppl standing in a 20m radius from me ! The fact that Jon asked whether we were tired says quite a lot I think! And usually when you start clapping or jumping, ppl around you will start as well... not in Ostend though. We tried many, many times - but without much luck.

It was still a great show anyway! I had a great time!

crowd: quiet or not

the music itself needed turning up a few notches

a very very quiet concert musically

Hehe, it's nothing vallie and I still hear enough I really don't know what all the people say about the crowd. It's like you say, around us there were a lot of people singing, klapping and a lot of that stuff. And even if the crowd wasn't the way it is at other concerts, I really enjoyed myself and I think I'm not the only one! The band was really great! So what do we want more? (except a place on the stage the next time, eh valleke )

Hey Vallie, if you didn't read the other thread, I just wanna say again I wanna apologise for being rude at you yesterday, ok?

So I read all the replies and the newspaper too today, and I know what has been going on. A lot of you on this forum have been really on the front, where the crowd probably went nuts. But as you were in the front you probably didn't see what was going on about 20 m further on.

From there it was all dead. I tried my very best to let the people join in, I always do that, but nothing worked. I did the Crash-wave-thing and I was almost the only one, except for my girlfriend. Most people were looking like "what the **** is he doing there?" I couldn't help it, but it almost got me embarrassed until I thought: what the hell, you probably don't know what a concert is all about.

From where Jon was I think he could see a lot of the crowd so he must have seen that there were some places where the "living dead" were standing. I don't think he liked that. And I think it's really important that we let the guys know we love them, because Belgium is such a small country they might easily forget us!

That is pretty normal. The guys have earphones in now instead of using the large monitors in front of the stage for the sound. So they can't hear the audience that well. Remember what happened back in Werchter, when the sound went away during Wild in the streets. Everyone was shouting and screaming but they noticed nothing. Pretty normal, because they only heard what was on the earphones and probably there the sound didn't go away at all.

it doesn't "mute" the sound though ... and when there's no music trust me you could hear the audience... especially since you forget that Richie, Tico and Dave/Hugh all seemed to hear the chants

BTW - does this newspaper have a website with the review/pics on?

I forgot to check the local newspapers when i was there, but i always like to collect reviews

Apology accepted Mattias ... And for what it matters ... I wasn't mad at you ... I just didn't agree with you ... Big difference ... And I think everyone may have his own opinion right?
For the crowd ... I thought there was a lot of ambiance in the pit and many roads after it !!!!!!!! I enjoyed myself completely !!! And I looked sometimes behind and saw many many people doing the same so I thought the crowd was hype Of course, for those who were in the back might have a better view over the crowd and can perhaps say more about it globaly buuuuut ... I prefer to see Bon Jovi and not the crowd waving or not waving hehe ... Of course the atmosphere is very important as well and where I was there waaaas a great spririt so for ME the concert was faboulas
