To letitrock:
I checked on the internetsite of the paper but it is not there. If you are really interested in the review I could try to lay my hands on a copy of the newspaper tomorrow (I just read it at work so I don't have it) and copy it for you and send it to your home adress if you want. But I have to say it is all in Dutch and you might not understand it. But I could try to translate it for you... Anyway, I found the title very good: "Ma, you must listen to this!", because the journalist noticed that there were a lot of people putting their mobile phones in the air so that others could listen.
I'm in my final year of Journalism now so I should be a journalist in the near future. I sure hope I can interview Bon Jovi soon!

To vallie:
thanks for accepting apologies. You know, I try to have good friends and I'm known as a guy who wants the best for everyone, so I felt a bit bad yesterday cause I think I was a bit too rude at times. When I asked you about the bootlegs, I meant this: I think you are not into Bon Jovi for a very long time (not that I say that I'm better cause I've been a fan for 10 years, but it's probably just like that). I've seen the three previous concerts, I heard loads of bootlegs, I've seen lots of live performances on video, on television, so I kinda knew what I expected.
And I didn't get what I expected. I'm glad you sang, you screamed, you waved, you jumped... I did so too, I think all the fans were like that, going mad every minute. But where I was there almost happened nothing. I wasn't actually at the back cause I could just see the front rows from where I was... I was near the plate "uitgang" so that's not so far. It's my own choice to be there. At small venues I like to be in the front rows because it gives me an intimate feeling. I was once on the first row at a small venue from Catatonia, and there was no room between the stage and the crowd so I could even see the setlist lying there on the podium.
Now at a Bon Jovi concert, I always try to be not too far, but I don't really feel the need to be close either. When the concert started, I felt that I was about the only one singing, but I thought: like always, the others will join in after a while. They always do. But they didn't this time. I don't understand it!
I'll admit, when I was at my very first concert (Roxette in 94), I didn't dare to sing or do anything. I was just a little shy and after the concert I really regretted this. I thought: why didn't I sing and enjoy myself! So from that moment I said to myself: no matter what happens: I'll sing, I'll dance, I'll do whatever I feel like.
And from that moment it's been the same thing over and over again. I'm standing there singing, clapping, doing everything and everyone around me just stands there. Then they see I'm enjoying myself and after a while they can't help but do the same thing. But not on Sunday. There was this girl just a bit behind me, I noticed her: she didn't sing, she didn't even applaude, she was just standing there watching. Now I wonder, maybe in the crowd there were a lot of people who just know Bon Jovi a little bit and didn't know any better to do than to go to the concert? I don't know why it was and I still don't know. I only know that I tried my best to have a great time, but that a lot of people seemed to be, like Jon said "tired".
And if you have read all of this I wrote you must love the way I'm writing or just be interested, I guess (lol) Sorry that my replies are always so long!

I found the crowd in the pit at Ostend pretty quiet as well. and by quiet I dont mean not singing of clapping coz there was plenty of that going on, and waving. What I mean is when BJ hit the UK during tours the pit and most of GA area is using "bouncing" for the want of a better word. I found this a bit strange for there not to be many ppl jumping around, but then again maybe its just want I'm used to. It certainly didnt stop me have a great time

From where I stood the crowd was really bad. They weren't singing at all and in the end I felt quite a bit self-conscience singing at all, now that is ridiculous!! No one was waving during Crash and it seemed that no one was singing during Wanted.. all in all they were nothing compared to Amsterdam. I just hope that Hyde Park is better.

Well I and the people around me (exepct for my friend who was with me) did the crash wave and we sang every single song, sometimes it was more yelling than singing! glad I was in a "not-quiet" part, but I know what you mean! The group next to us was just standing there the whole concert, just like they were watching TV...

I really enjoyed mysels and it's a shame I have to work june 28th or I would come to London. I am gonna try to switch weekends!

Of course I read it ... I try to read most of the things I have said something about ... looking for some reaction ... Sometimes I miss it though ... Happens to everyone I think

did any of you Belgians or your family/friends record the tv that night with parts of the show on it... you all must have noticed the cameras and soundmen and the woman interviewing. After the show our driver said he saw some bits of it on the tv
i'd love to see that again since half the time the camera was pointing to where we were standing

I did saw the news that night (but was to late to record it :s) ... Haven't noticed you around though ... They showed a little bit of Bounce and Bad name and a short interview with Peter and Richie. In fact Richie said he was looking forward to see Peter and was going to check him out but the newswoman had to told him it was already over ...

I did found a picie on the net where we can see Laura, Taija, Mike and you ... It's on http://www.musicitems.be There you go to ' Artiesten' and click on Photspecials ... Over there you can choose for the section of Peter, Arid and Bon Jovi ... You guys are on the 8th picture

Greetz, Vallie

I taped both VRT and VTM late night news. It was 3 o' clock when I saw it but since they repeat it over and over again at night, and since I was still awake enough to drag myself to a videotape and put it in the recorder, I managed to get them both. Not a lot of difference between the two though.

Hey Val, I'm really wondering: don't you check out the other forums here as well. I started a thread yesterday about meeting up with all Belgian fans but I didn't hear from you so far! I'm waiting :P
