as a richie girl, i would be gutted to see them performing and not seeing him on stage. he is a key figure in the band and i wish him a speedy (and complete) recovery. there is no bon jovi without sambora.

A complete recovery will need month. He needs a long therapy during the band break.

Sad, but TRUE!

Bon Jovi without Richie is not really .... Bon Jovi, ok, and I hope he'll be back soon and .... looking like the "real Richie" again....

Waiting for this moment, we have to admit that another good guitarist who can clearly do the job apparently is not a bad thing for the band. New blood...

Sadly, there is no "Bon Jovi" without Richie Sambora. It is just that simple. Why other die hard fans do not get that, I cannot comprehend.

I'm actually hoping I get Phil X at Hyde Park, but ain't gonna push my luck. Main reasin coz the show will be different, and I kinda like his playing. It's what I need after the last few shows I've been to....a bit of refreshment. But like I've said, I don't think I'll be seeing Phil X come June.

You should be tried for treason and hung by the neck until dead.

I honestly don't know how anyone can HOPE to get Phil X on their particular show. Yeah, we've seen a substandard Richie for a bit, but still he was part of the magic. His chemistry makes him an integral part of the band. Words like key member have been used a lot, but probably underestimated here... on a fan board! And that's shocking.

I get that it would be interesting to see BJ with Phil X... but I say that only because the situation is what it is. There's a certain curiosity about what that new guy brings. And thumbs up for learning more songs and changing setlists. That's an awful lot to learn for Phil in a short time.
But whatever he brings, he won't make up for the lack that Sambora left... nor could anyone. They could have Slash or Angus up there, and it wouldn't be the same. Interesting, but not what I wanna see when it comes to BJ... and maybe the last tour in a long time. Surely they can't end the tour without Sambora...???

You know, what makes me a bit sad is that they did get a fill-in. That still Jon is the main member. But that's nothing new. I had hoped they would cancel, and at the same time I see why they carry on. And yeah, it's Richie's fault too. He had it coming. Refunds would've been nice, yes, at least 1/3 of the price or sth.

But I became a fan because of the chemistry between Richie and Jon. This band needs Sambora. His presence on stage. The doubleneck. The cowboy hat and the "let's ride". His voice. The way he plays the songs. And it needs the chemistry between Jon & Richie. Can you imagine the "out on the run, under the gun" part without Jon singing it to Richie? The harmonies on IBTFY? Remember how they were together for the 2nd verse of "Just Older" to sing the chorus together into one mic?

I have said before, if Phil X (and none of this is his fault, I start to appreciate him more and more) comes to Europe, I won't be selling my 2 tickets. But this tour I actually thought about going for a 3rd show for the first time, and that option is now very uncertain.

Thinking about it, I would actually like seeing Slash play Dry County. Let Phil grow his hair a bit and give him a cylinder hat and a smoke for the illusion to work, haha. He has the right guitary anyways.
