i definately wouldnt go that far. yes im glad they found a good replacement but i wouldnt 'hope' for him to be there. if in a months time richie still isnt out then yes maybe we will look for him to be there but until we get a better idea of when richie is back im not saying anything

I don't think you'll have to wait that long to figure it out. If Phil X keeps learning more songs after the 2 shows this weekend in the northeast, your shows are in play. They've already done plenty of songs for Jon to write setlists for the midwest and the south. Let's just say we never get much in that department. In my opinion, if Phil keeps learning songs, they're not for us . . . they're for Europe.

they can play more varied setlists in places they generally don't just to try to make up for richie not being there ..I think we read too much into the montreal show .. it was montreal 5th show ppl ... they had to play more than the regular show but it was merely that ... for me now to have DC and DR with richie on stage is NOT SPECIAL anymore at all it was almost regular with RS so jbj kept them with xenidis

I don't want to believe xenidis will be in europe because then it means for real bon jovi is dead it may happen yes but I don't want nor accept to see it happening just yet

Remember how they were together for the 2nd verse of "Just Older" to sing the chorus together into one mic?
I totally agree on that! Nice said!

I was actually thinking the same thing yesterday Terri.

While this may not be the case, assuming that it is doesn't necessarily mean that Phil will be the guitarist for Europe. He's (hopefully) probably learning them just in case Richie doesn't make it back in time, which i'm assuming is the plan.

I honestly don't think they know right now, and this way their covered. If Richie makes it back for Europe, no harm, no foul. If he doesn't, they'll be able to trot out some rarities and etc. with Phil.

Completely agreed mate, they're just covering all bases this way

at the end of the day, richie may have problems, be lazy, be on autopilot, whatever.

but if you wanted to go see michael jackson and michael was injured so they replaced him with a tribute michael or something, would you want to see this guy who is likely to be grand?

no you would not is the answer because he did not write the music and lyrics, like michael did in most cases, nor in that fact the choroegraphy etc.

Richie wrote our music, it is his creation and nobody, nobody, no matter how good or whatever can take that credit or be deserving of his place, especially at this point in the bands career. I totally commend this guy and like what he is doing. He can do a good temporary job, but richie is essential now on stage and for the bands future.

This guy is somewhat creative, but for bon jovi, probably not.

Anyway, its richies creation, not his, therefore on autopilot or not richie is the convincing one when playing
