Default DC, whats the point?

No I,m not talking Dry County I,m talking about the Diamond circle. I,ve seen a few vids on yt with people right at the front of the DC and all they show is Richie or Jon from the waist up. I just cant see the point of being that close that you cant actually the rest of the band and stage. And if either of them stand back you see nothing at all.

Lookiing at your YT vids it looks like you were close to us in GC, we were a bit more central I think, I dont think their view in the DC was worth an extra £160.

been in the DC twice and it is far better at the middle/back,the front row is a joke it's like watching the band play on your roof, why they camp out for that god knows.also there is a distinct lack of atmosphere,at Edinburgh they could have easy got another 300 people in there,it was easy to walk around and go to different spots for pictures/video.the lack of atmosphere is imo down to being filled mainly with vip's and posers, the hardcore fans in the main are now in gc or ga.

The radio DJ last night night in Dublin had a point when he addressed the DC and said ''What used to be the mosh pit is now the posh pit''.
Plus yeah, the views from the front row look horrendous, I really don't see the point. I watched from the back of the GC last night out of choice despite being one of the first ones in, best views and I don't care if i'm not close enough to smell jon...

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

isnt it in some ways to escape the mass of humanity - European shows are all GA with no seats right? I did that down front in Giants first show - really would not want to repeat that...

do people do it to be close and have some breathing room?

Fair play to The DC last night, they went mental when Hey God started.

Oh and the point of it is $$$$$$ for Jon and a "VIP" experience for the fans.
