Could you just buy a ticket to be in Dc or was it part of a package? If could get ticket only how much were they for the Dublin shows? and as part of the package what were the prices and what do you get? Some friends were asking me after the second night but because I had thought none of them would have paid extra to see Bj I never looked into it...I being the only die hard amongst them....turns out one or two of them would have paid! Having said that the stage was extremely high so unless could be sure I'd get down v back of the DC I am not sure I would be bothered! Would definitely beat having all the casuals around you talking and going in and out to the bar all night!

You could only get ticket only through the FC for DC
And I don't think it was all that more expensive, I paid about $20 more for the DC ticket than the GC ticket.
No idea how much the packages were.

I was front row DC the first night and 3rd row DC the second. I couldn't see Tico/David the first night but I could the second night. Honestly the main problem for me was those damn light domes/things at the front of the stage. I could see Jon and Richie fine.

That would be because of the FC trip.

How does the whole FC part work though? I had a look at the we page and it's on about different years packages - does it have it's own year end of does each year run from when you join?

Really tempted to do a concert in the DC next time, especially as I loved being the equivalent closeness in 2006's GC. But seems you need to be FC these days and for that cash on top of the package price I want to be sure I get it right!!

You pay $50 to be a FC member for a year.
I think they also have a two year thing.
There are also other packages where you get membership / t-shirt etc but not really worth it IMO.

Its not its own year to year, when you join you join for a year.

Personally I have been a member for a few years. I bought it at the time they did early entry for that reason. But have kept it up. To me, the only advantage of being a member is to get a FC ticket and get early entry.
It was VERY hard to get DC tickets, it was pure luck I got mine for Dublin.
I hope they don't have DC next time around.

I thought I'd bring this up here. When I went to see Foo Fighters at the weekend, who I think are a fair sized band in populality they had a Golden circle same as Jovi. However you didn't have to pay extra for it nor did you have to be a member of a fan club. All you had to do is que early and you'd get in. Just a thought next time Jovi sell tickets.

That was the same case for MJ in 1997

that's how it was on Jovi shows during the 90's. there was a single pit standing ticket and whoever got there first, would go inside the GC.

That's cos they don't take the piss out of their fans offering a 3 course meal + nibbles(that 98% fans don't care for) for an inflated price. Just hoping Jon sees sense before the next tour....
