And after the release of Bounce, the hardest rock album that Bon Jovi has put out in a while (yeah right!), we can clearly see that Jon is still an expert in all that is rock 'n' roll. Right Side Of Wrong, You Had Me From Hello, Open All Night, All About Lovin' You, Joey..... yeah, now those songs are pure rock 'n' roll.
well said gator girl - he's lost authority to speak on matters such as that
Sorry, I think just the opposite. If there is a guy to bash Pearl Jam - that's Jon.

Bon Jovi has almost always put many ballads on their records along with many rock songs. Nothing's changed. Ballads don't take anything away from this band's rocking ability.

During last call with Carson Daily Jon said that he liked the energy of Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit. I don't know if that means that he likes that music.

it's not the ballads that take away from their power rock - LIS, IBTFY are 2 of their most powerful songs full stop...

that's not the problem with the new albums

it's all the mediocre songs that don't know whether they want to be a pop or rock song and end up being something in between

I still cannot relate that with Jon lost authority to bash Pearl Jam comment.

Lose the melodrama.

musically i don't think he can bash them anymore

politically - if he wants to yes - but it's supposedly the liberal land of the free and they can say whatever they want to say

Okay. Please don't take this personally. But I'm gonna say how I feel.

Who are you? What do you know? You obviously full of self-importance. That I can see. Now what are your real life achievements in music?

The one who has no authority to say the things one said (about Bon Jovi) is you. And not Jon (about Pearl Jam). In his worst day Jon is a lot more knowledgeale, experienced and credible about rock music than you are in your best day.

So, please, lose the melodrama.

I played acoustic gigs in pubs when I was 11 years old and now have my own rock band with 8 hours of original material written and recorded

only if you take the attitude that noone other than the band has any authority in which case the authority is monopolised and corrupt therefore

exactly! Politics and Pearl Jam are not rock n roll though are they miss clever?

i gotta say i'm with Santa Fe on this 1....as much as i respect many of the points letitrock makes there are a number of people on this board who have to have the final say on all matters and have to be correct at all costs.....there are also a lot of people that have been here a long time so get a lot of backing in their arguments....any argument with letitrock, mongoose etc etc is too 1 sided due to the favouritism on the board. that said....i don't particularly want to go 2 a concert where a band takes pot shots at other bands....it's pointless and isn't what i paid money for.....however pearl jam were out of order in what they did

Yeah. That's exactly what I thought. Do you have a record deal? I hope you can get out of your garage some day and be competitive with Bon Jovi. What is the probability of that to happen? (Stats teacher speaking in me.)
