a long time ago I bought tickets for a meet and greet and access to Tico fashion show in kohln .... I was happy to be there and meet friends and all so I didn't regret really the trip to germany .... but the meet and greet never happened for me because that was supposed to happen after the show and after the show Tico wanted to be with his friends not with us .. I got a signed post card ... and baby bottles .. LOL but no meeting with tico no hand shake no photo nothing .... I didn't say anything because my friend who organized that would have felt like she made a mistake and imo it was not her fault ...But never trust what is announced as perks like meet and greet photo etc .. those can be very misleading and twisted
Actually I don't remember a promised meet & greet and I was there, too.

The only thing that was something like promised or at least announced was that Richie would show up and play and this didn't happen. Some peopel were quite angry bout this and said that things were said that they knew that wouldn't happen. Not me though, I was there for Tico and bought my ticket before this announcement was made.

I was PROMISED by the friend who organized the thing personally (I mean via emails since day one she said I have a great stuff coming ..... this is this that and this .. are you in ? it was not publicly announced anywhere yet) ...It was advertised as a simple meet and greet with even more added bonus .... of course I was said so if not I would not have posted it here I never really thought Richie was going to be there though but the quick meeting with Tico I did wait for it as it was not anything particular or special the man was there watching at us from the second floor loggia .... B. felt so bad about it afterwards because instead of the meet and greet he removed it and instead signed stuff at the beginning when he arrived to the venue hours before the show to the few ppl who were already around and I was not there when he arrived as the meet and greet I got promised was planned after the fashion show so I literally never had a chance to get a lil bit close to him at all ....

but I didn't post about it online never said a word to B or anything to make her uncomfortable .. the thing is even printed they always can change what is announced .....

(ps I still have the emails )

A lot went wrong that day and a lot of people were very disappointed and angry about her. It seemed that things were promised just to get people there, some people called her a liar. Without the fans it would have been quite empty there that evening.

I totally see your point but I felt bad for her .. she got carried away and at the end the thing is that Tico didn't play along like she thought he would ... the place was packed with fans and imo this was more like a turn off for Tico because all in all we were filling the place but not at all giving him the exposure he needed for his clothes and fashion line ... but that was not our fault at all we were all very well behaved and all but if he was smiling he was not really in the mood to accomodate the fans at all .. he wanted a more fashion oriented posh fashionista audience

I think B was misled maybe by her boss too (the other lady) anyway ..; that is not even a bad memory for me but I just think that even officially announced and printed you never know how things will pan out with stuff that promise a meet and greet ... a photo of 10 with jon all embarassed and trapped surrounded by fans and a fast sign with thank you blabbed it's not how fans imagine it anyway right ? PLUS you always have THE FAN that think is more important than the others that will push it too far and make Jon or Richie or Tico annoyed and leave before you were even lucky enough to SEE the person you are supposed to meet and greet !(remember the hard rock cafe in london .. wow if you were not lucky to have been said the thing will happen at the bar and if you sit there then too bad ..... you couldnt see a thing unless you are 2 meter tall )

Most of the times what is hoped to happen, it doesn't and even what is supposed to.

I kinda remember some big fiasco that took place at a FC event, where members were supposed to meet Jon at a Soul game or something, but nothing really happened and Jon left upset, because he was mobbed instead... I don't know the details, my friend told me at the time.

The best "meetings" with band members, are definitely the unexpected.

That's for sure - I've met Jon last year at a Japanese restaurant in London. And in 2008 I've met Tico at the same place. And back in 2006 we were able to meet Hugh and Bobby at some kind of hotel in Dublin.

Not so. Diamond tickets give your seats that extend from the very front of the stage to about 25 rows back. I was in the last row of the Diamond seating and I couldn't see the band at all, people were in my way and I had to look at the screens. The people within the first 10 rows were up front - the rest of us may as well have bought GA tickets.
