From memory he sort of knelt over it and played it as it lay flat on the floor just hammering the guitar. I think this was part way through the solo and he then picked the guitar up and carried on. He was so aggressive though all night like he'd been let off the leash! The live version of Undiscovered Soul was incredible, particularly the vocal intro he did which made the hairs on the back of your neck stand up. His voice sounded so huge and powerful at that show as well as his guitar.

It was one of those nights were I just stood there with a stupid grin on my face all through the show as Richie played how I always wanted to see him play and proved what I always knew which was that he is one of the greatest players on the planet. It's the reason I get so annoyed at his contribution to recent Bon Jovi records which is lame in the extreme.
