Yea, but casino prices are always outrageous. My Greensboro ticket was $80.

This is starting to be a problem here though. Yes, the two shows I saw in Philly were completely sold out but that is local. Jon mentioned in his chat only doing 1 Giants show. At the time I thought WTF - why only a single show when they have been doing 2 nights there since 2001.

Here is an article that I read on Greasy Lake about the Bruce ticket sales at Giants this summer. The guy posting was referencing the recent Bear Stearns buyout and the general malaise of the American economy.

There is a reason the three shows at Giants Stadium are not even close to selling out (rumors from Meadowlands peeps are there are still thousands that have not yet been released for sale to the public) that go far beyond the tickets going on sale right before Christmas and putting them on sale almost eight months before the shows. The economy, and fear of a worsening economy and credit crunch, affects hundreds of thousands, if not millions, of potential Springsteen ticket buyers. The Springsteen camp had up to 14 nights on hold at Giants Stadium. How the markets react, how banks attempt to recoup their huge losses, how the Fed attempts to assist the ailing lending institutions could all have a major impact on the number of stadium shows this summer, or even whether or not there even is one, in Philadelphia, Foxboro, Landover, etc.

Bottom line - DO NOT think you are going to be able to easily unload any extra tickets you may currently possess to future shows.

I'm hearing no stadiums for Jovi (because of everything Kathleen mentioned) but arenas for the summer. We'll see what actually pans out.

I know that Giants is traditional but the sound is far better in an arena such as MSG. In my case that is my prime consideration.

Again, nothing confirmed but you may get your wish for multiple shows there.

Deb, that was exactly my point. Mohegan us not an overall representation because they are more expensive than regular arenas.

I think it's a mix of the factors everyone has said so far.
As for the US, arena shows would be awesome..

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
That's what I wanted to know.
Thanks Seb.
So is that expensive, compared to say like The Police, or other "major" bands?

I agree. I like arena shows better than stadiums anyway.

I like being outside (in good weather anyway), and I think Stadium shows have that HUGE event feel. But the sound is obviously better in (most arenas)
i think both have a place honestly.
