A Golden Circle ticket, bought through ticketmaster in the UK is £75 (At the MEAN Arena, Manchester). Ignoring the TM add-ons, I don't think that's especially expensive.

You're lookin' at £65-£85 for the best Police seats, Eagles are £85-£110. Dunno about U2.

Those prices are direct from ticket searches on TM, not some made up guess, or forum post.

Thanks Seb.
So is that expensive, compared to say like The Police, or other "major" bands?
As a Police fan, I can tell you they are not cheap. Most shows they are playing, their lowers are $225, the uppers rang e from $90-$225 and lawn seats are $40.

2001: 40E
2003: 50E
2006: 65E
2008: 75E

Within 7 years it's gotten over 50% more expensive.

It's not just Bon Jovi ticket prices though. Look at the Reading and Leeds Festivals in the UK: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reading...ivals_line-ups

Weekend Ticket Prices
2001 - £80
2002 - £90
2003 - £95
2004 - £105
2005 - £125
2006 - £135
2007 - £145
2008 - Likely to be £155. That's almost double the price 7 years ago. You can't say that it's just Bon Jovi who've increased their ticket prices in that time

Yeah, I know that. But still.

If Genesis charges €75,- people are willing to pay the price. Look at the stage and the entire production, and the overall showmanship. Now compare that same price with a Bon Jovi show. You must be a really big fan to be willing to pay the same price for less of a show, which is why the average Bon Jovi fan will say that it's not worth it. A Bon Jovi audience is there for a nice gig with all the standard stuff. A Genesis audience is there to listen to the music and enjoy the show on the videoscreens. And that's a big, big difference.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Bon Jovi is expensive but, atleast in Canada, still well off the Police, Genesis and U2.

You do realise that they're playing at the City Stadium and not the MEN Arena, right?

And yes, I think that £75 as the top-end for tickets is a fair bit, but it's not like the prices some people charge - and the gold circle is only a small part anyway, most tickets for general admission were £35(ish) I think.

Its Gold circle that has messed the tickets prices up for Bon Jovi. If Foo fighters who right now are a much more popular band in the uk, can keep the prices down to £40 I dont see why Bon Jovi can't. But as people have said all ticket prices have gone through the roof.

If you assume that maybe 5-10% of tickets sold were gold circle (and it mightn't even be that many) then it means that from the last tour they went up from £45 to £75 so that is a lot, but the general admission went from about £32 to £37 I think, something like that - which isn't a whole lot really.
