To charge the same amount for something that's far less rare/special doesn't make sense. Or...it does, to the extent that people will pay for it, but it's a piss-poor argument.
They can charge as much as they can get and still have 8/10 nights sold out.

wooooooooo i love van halen seen them twice already on the reunion tour and im going to see them next month again. the point is bon jovi tickets are still not as rediculous as madonna, rolling stones.... now these last shows in new york have high ticket prices becasue they're the last shows, if you don't like the prices don't buy the tickets or buy the cheap ones simple as that.

Yes. Hence "it does [make sense], to the extent that people will pay for it".

Is it clearer if I say "While it can be argued it makes sense as a business decision to charge as much as people will pay, to argue it's reasonable because a highly-anticipated, possibly never-again, tour is charging the same is laughable, because a Bon Jovi concert is far less rare a commodity."
