I've experienced 2 "disasters":

The big light bowl/thing in the middle of the stage broke in Essen in 2000. Well it didn't fall off, but it more or less exploded with a big bang. The band went off stage and Jon looked very pissed 10 minutes later, the show continued.

And in Werchter Belgium in 2001, the whole PA system broke down and at the end of the show there were no lights and no sounds... Jon said: well f*ck the PA system, bring me my acoustic! Was quite funny to experience

Memphis 1989: a chain from one of the riggings fell from the ceiling narrowly missing Jon, but no one was hurt.

Jackson 1989: someone threw a glass bottle and hit Jon in the stomach. He wasn't seriously hurt, but it looked like it hit him pretty hard and they stopped the show for a few minutes.

I don't remember where, but Richie walked into a piece of equipment and got a gash on his head.

There was a power outage at one of the early shows and Jon got his acoustic and played anyway.

A water main broke at Foxboro, MA last year and one section of the stadium had to be evacuated and there was a flood backstage too.

There were riots in Guadalajara, Mexico in 1990.

There was a riot/crush at Groten, CT in 1993 and some fans had to get medical attention.

Jon's talked about there being bomb threats at shows too, but the authorities have always managed to secure the places prior to the show.

I also heard a story that Jon hurt his knee when he was jumping and bumbed into a girl or something like that... I think it was during the Crush or One Wild Night tour, somewhere in America.... now THAT'S a REAL disaster :P

We already know what Axl did when faced with a similar situation...beat the living crap out of the person.

At two concerts in 2000 the power broke down. In Leipzig 2000 right before the guitar solo in Keep the faith the guitar belt opened and Richie had to play the solo on his knees to hold the guitar. In Gelsenkirchen Jon threw a bottle of water against some photographer (not by accident), Richie's pants nearly dropped all the time in Cologne 1998 and one of his guitars was totally out of tune and he didn't manage to get it fixed that fast so he had to change the guitar.

During a solo-show of Jon somewhere in Australia the power also broke down and he had to continue acoustic.

If you watch Jon's interview on the Graham Norton show from early this year he talks about some of the things that happened over the years. He basically said that if it could happen - it did happen - including walking out on stage with his zipper open.
