The zipper thing happened in Werchter in 2001 (Werchter was a disaster show ) You can hear Richie welcoming the crowd on the bootleg while Jon was taking care of his zipper (not really a zipper, more some laces, don't know the English term for that). It was quite funny. The first show after Werchter was in Amsterdam and someone made a banner "Watch your zipper Jon!" (or something like that)

not really a disaster but was reeal funny, at Dublin '03 when richie was doin his new intro to prayer (cool solo without any talkbox) he 4got that his talkbox mic was still folded down and it was on the other side of the stage while he was in the middle so when tico came in it all fell apart lol but he managed to leap over and half flick the mic up but had to play the 1st verse on the talkbox from an almost kneeling position

JBJ - I believe

"Sambora's face is a mask of joyous disbelief, as if previously unaware of his ability to play the instrument at all. Reaching the last fistful of notes, he does a fair impression of a man who is actually ejaculating into his jet black flares."

Jon told once that during the Jersey tour at one concert his pants broke and he didn't have a second one nearby. He was just glad that he wore this long coat back then.

Giant's Stadium 2001 VH1 performance - Richie's gold strat went dead just before the last chord of Shout. The band had to drag out the ending a little longer whilst he changed guitars to play the last chord!

Jon also caught Richie out at Milton Keynes 2001 during 'Bed of Roses' when he shouted "Two more times, two more times, two more times!" just as Richie was coming to the end of the solo - Richie did his best to improvise and, when we were there it sounded like impressive improvisation, but when you listen to the bootleg some of it makes you cringe!

I just remembered another one that was in RIP magazine back in the 80's. When Jon was out on the catwalk, the fans closeby rushed a barricade and it broke and the only thing that kept one girl from falling was Jon catching her.

The thing with Jon's knee was that some girl grabbed his leg and caused him to hyperextend his knee. He had to have cortizone shots in it. I cringe at the thought. Those hurt like holy hell.

Sorry to bring this back, but I read this (and it's probably the only reason why I joined this board...) and I have to correct you on this, I was at the gig and the reason for Mr. Jon Bon Jovi doing this was because he had some woman up there for a dance (if I remember rightly she had stupid American-flag styled cowboy boots, hat etc. on) and she was saying how much she thinks of him everyday, she wouldn't let go and she was looking quite emotional...

All in all, that was an amazing gig, the best I've seen of any band. Just thought I'd say...

All the best.

I heard one time Jon got hit in the fave with a cassette tape. Don't know if it's true.

I also have a feeling that things went wrong at the TLFR concert (on the DVD) and Jon introduced the band for cover. I'd have to watch it again to be sure.

Yes, but my point was that it caught Richie off guard cos Jon only gave him a second to react and some of the solo suffered for it.

Here's a couple more though -

At one of the English BOUNCE TOUR 2003 shows Richie knocked over his mic stand mid-song and, another Richie-moment - at either the Tokyo New Year bash in '90 or the Moscow Peace Festival gig in '89, Richie forgot to come in for the solo during 'Blood on Blood' and they played an extra half-chorus section and halved the solo duration (and it wasn't intentional)

zeltweg 95 (or 94 i don't remember): richie played bad medicine solo, made some steps behind and fell over his cable a guy standing close buy (must've been some tech guy) caught him in the very last second

vienna 97: jon came on stage, the crowd roared, he smiled, everybody laughed- it apparantly weren't cigarettes which he smoked backstage... wonder how he could see something with his eyes barely open- he looked like dave matthews on the "vh1 storytellers"

vienna 97: naked was definately a desaster (and jon's gesture after finishing proves me right)
