yup, somebody needs to read my post. I didn't compare Deep Purple to Bon Jovi, you've just gone along with what other people have said....You really don't read people's posts do you!
To get back onto the topic then.
I think like most bands, new material comes into the live set, then is dropped in future tours. I can't see a lot of the Crush/Bounce material lasting as tracks like Runaway, Bad Name e.t.c have. For me, the so called 'anthem' songs, all seem to follow the old formular, but it doesn't sound the same, and for me it doesn't work. When they're brought into the live show, I don't think they fit. One Wild night sort of wasn't too bad, nor was It's My Life, but I'd say the majority of Bounce (including Undivided) doesn't seem to work with the old songs. For me that's where an album can succeed, if it can be intergrated sucessfully into the set, These Days worked, as did Keep the Faith, but unfortunately I'm hearing new and old Bon Jovi nowerdays, instead of just hearing Bon Jovi
