Do you think 23/6-10 will be the last O2 concert?

Yep. They have learned how to make more money for less work.

They're comfortable old men. No reason to challenge or change anything. No reason to prove themselves. Just enjoying the ride and taking what they can from it. Can't say I wouldn't do the same.

No reason to travel to anywhere else in the UK.

Who are you Bono in disguise?

Listen, the U2 tour has been a disaster, they haven't even broke even yet. They tapered most of the shows because of poor sales. I walked past Croke Park around lunchtime of the 2nd show in Dublin and there were people outside giving away tickets.

They also gave thousands of tickets away to Radio / TV etc for competitions.

Now I know some of Bon Jovi's European shows undersold but they didn't throw tickets away to save face like U2.

Completely untrue - the tour was the most successful tour in 2009. Check your facts. BJ played to half empty stadiums in Europe in 08((Stuttgart/Leipzig/Twicky).That's why they wisley choos to tour in Europe in 2011 after Greatest Hits!

Check my facts?

I was offered free tickets at their homecoming concert and I have a friend who works for the marketing team at Ticketmaster and he said they sold terribly.

You refer to Bon Jovi playing to half empty stadiums? That has been commonplace in the last few years with all the big acts due to the financial climate. U2 are the only band with big enough egos to throw tickets away to cover up the fact they didn't sell out.

When the rest of the dates were added (after the initial 5 nights), a few more dates appeared on ticketmaster.co.uk listed as 'currently not available'. They very quickly vanished so i assume we weren't meant to see it.

The last night of these extra dates was Sunday 4th July 2010.

I know what you mean but I doubt they'll put them on sale anyway. Bon Jovi had precontracts signed for 20 nights and I do think that initially the plan was to put it all on sale up to the 4th of July, but I don't think that'll happen now that none of the dates have sold out. And what would be the point of putting more dates on sale after the buzz has been killed anyway?

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
