Dave is doing Memphis on the road and I already saw an article where he said he was starting full time on that in September. Memphis starts the national tour early October. Things obviously change but I would say that is a good indication that it adding to the tour will not happen.

I can't see it happening in Muscat. Abu Dhabi would be the most likely and that's probably not going to happen either.

Worst thing about working out in the Middle East was the lack of decent gigs. When I was out there the only things I ever saw advertised were Spandau ballet (wtf) and Rod Stewart in Abu Dhabi.

Thanks Jim..... Totally agree with you about the lack of gigs. Gotta cope with it being 119 degrees every day at the moment and no decent live music, lol

I see adverts on the tv every night for acts playing in Abu Dhabi

Oh well, its cool. It was just a dream.

Thanks for your reply,

Alex

I doubt it because I can't imagine the crew's contracts span past July 31st if the decision was made to tour on without Richie instead of postponing. I can't see Jon paying them extra to go into August or wanting to span the tour longer.

If this is you're out there for the Summer I've got bad news cos it's going to get a whole lot hotter

I read a thing in the Gulf News saying that 5 years ago Dubai was the place to go then promoters and bands realised the place was a logitical nightmare to work around hence why everyone tends to go to Abu Dhabi nowadays.

If Dubai is a logitistical nightmare to hold a gig in you can imagine what Muscat, Doha or Manama are like.

I hear you, lol Its 50 degrees today, so its hot, hot, hot

Agree that it must be a logistical nightmare for artists to perform in the middle east. I should thank my lucky stars that we got Bryan Adams and Westlife then
