Not particularly as I have had the seats/position I can afford at that time as well as upgrades, so for me I get whats within my budget.

When people meet the band I am always happy to hear their stories of how, when etc, definitely does not annoy me. I do not have any patience to go and stand outside various venues for a glimpse of any member, if people want to do it - then thats up to them.

Not fussed on either, Ive always been mostly happy where I have been for gigs, had upgrades and been front row before so will be content wherever I am as long as I'm not spending stupid money.

Would love to meet them, but don't begrudge anyone that has.

It doesn't take money. You need to know where you need to be at any given time. They're usually okay with fans approaching them, if the fans are calm and not "fan"-y. I've even met Bruce Springsteen and he talked with me a good while while writing autographs for other at the same time. And they say he's notoriously hard to meet, let alone get an autograph from.

If you want to be SURE you're going to meet them, that's going to take money. But if you're willing to spend enough time and a little effort, you should be able to meet the band.

From what I have heard, they actually like it better when you meet them when you are approaching them. It depends on the situation naturally (not with their families or while having dinner etc etc) but all in all, Jon and the other members are much more approachable. More friendlier (I know NOT all the time before people jump with bad meetings) but generally.

These meet and greets that the Jon does for the fanclub, they are barely 5 seconds. It's stand by his side, take a photo, next person. You can't even talk much. He has so much to get through.

Aloha !

Yeah, if you know where to look, meeting the band isn't that hard really. Jon is most difficult because he spends most of his time being both miserable and important in his hotel room, the rest of the band are often out there walking through the city they're playing in. I never really cared for meeting them though, had the chance to meet several of them but just couldn't be bothered to waste my time waiting for hours in the hope they'd be willing to have a conversation with me or get a picture taken with them.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yeah, an elevator stuck with Jon and you inside is the best choice. He would get a piece of my mind in there

Because either I'd

A) Be a hypocrite and not be able to tell him the things I've been saying about him to his face

or

B) Tell the things to his face and have him hate me for the blatant truth.

Either way it leads for a very awkward conversation.
Why are you here?

Yes Erik, tell him why you are here. I don't get it either. It's so difficult and confusing.

After spending a shit load of money diamond circle VIP in Manchester being that close to them didn't bother me. When i got a "high five" from Jon on the catwalk during bed of Roses that didnt leave me particularly star struck. (i was star struck when my question was read out on Radio 1 a few years back and Jon answered it with "great question".

But I want to be close enough to see the emotion live rather than through a big screen. So I've opted for GC this time around.

Meet Jon in person? Me and the wife have discussed this many times and we come up with the same answer every time - No. I think it's always a risky game to meet your idols in case they turn out to be dickheads. In Jon's case he probably will be.

The missus met her idol Bryan Adams in the 90s and he was very rude & horrible to her. Left the poor girl still cursing him every time he comes on the tv now!
