Does It Annoy You When Casual Fans Get Better Seats or Meet the Band?

She's not the only one. Back when I still followed Bryan Adams almost as closely as I followed Bon Jovi I heard many similar stories.

Frankly though, I don't really understand why you feel the need to slam one of Erik's posts for saying he considers Jon a dick only to then pretty much post the same but worded differently.

Don't get the need for such a post really.

And he knows its only joking. Besides Erik's post seemed a lot more of a personal gripe/hatred. Mine was a mere assumption but yet I have nothing but positive feelings towards JBJ

I did tell her that. Don't get what's attractive about him anyway. I guess my missus has weird taste in men...

No don't get the obsession with wanting to meet the band. Which rarely leads to any decent conversation and is usually pretty quick.

But then I have had the best seats and met them so perhaps if I hadn't I might feel differently.

It doesn't bother me. I don't know if that's because I've had great seats and I've met Jon or if it's because it's just not something I consider all that important anymore. For the record, Jon was very polite and posed for an individual picture and gave me an autograph. There were special needs fans in the group and he was very good with them too. Some people act weird around obviously disabled people, but he treated them very well.

I've only properly met Hugh, and Richie sort of dismissed us when we saw him, but it doesn't bother me either way. I've been front row, I've been at the seats at the top of a stadium...and actually prefer to be somewhere in the middle. I sometimes feel those who pay top prices to be at the front/in the best seats are there not to see the band, but to try and be seen by the band, and that's not my style at all.

I've never met any of Bon Jovi, and it doesn't bother so much now that I'm older, but years back, yes I got jealous when I read about fans meeting them.

I did, however, get to meet Bryan Adams several years ago (early 2000's) and though I didn't have a real conversation with him, he was extremely patient and took pictures with all of us. This was a record company organized meet and greet, so that may be the difference. What I thought was quite interesting was that he met with us before the show, and it was probably less than 15 minutes before he went on stage.
