Meet Jon in person? Me and the wife have discussed this many times and we come up with the same answer every time - No. I think it's always a risky game to meet your idols in case they turn out to be dickheads. In Jon's case he probably will be.
I know that feeling, I have never been short of GC, so if anything else I wouldn't bother I have done many concerts with GC, if it was a small venue "higher price" they're the tickets I' d usually buy.

From talking to people about meeting Jon, I'd rather not from stories I hear nowadays.

BTW i know where the band stay etc... I just choose not to bother.

Nah, I love when casuals meet the band and/or get better seats. The experience of being at a show is just for myself, I enjoy it without caring what the rest of the world is doing. And regarding meeting the band, I don't really care..

I am pretty much the same way. When I am at a show - I'm gone - don't bother me. I really do get lost in the music.

And I did get to meet the entire band once, relatively recently, and was able to say "Thank You" to Jon and Richie for their music. That was the extent of the conversation but it felt good being able to express that to them in person after all these years.

To be honest that's what I'd say if I met any of them. Because at the end of the day, despite differing opinions I guess we all share this common ground. We're grateful for the music

I have never heard of any of the band being anything but nice to the fans.
That being said, I have met the band - as a whole - once, and Jon by himself once, and Richie once.
I have also seen people try to get to their families and get shot down, that is when I see them get defensive. They signed up for the spotlight, not their kids (when they were younger).

course it does. most of the times, people who get to meet the band are soccer moms who wanna post their pics with Jon on Facebook so that their friends comment on them.
most of these people barely know Bon Jovi's work other than their greatest hits. Most of these people think Bon Jovi is a solo act. so yeah, it annoys me. If I could meet the band, I'd talk to them about their music and that was it.i couldn't care less about the rest.

I have met everyone except Tico through friends and various charity events. All were extremely nice. As far as good seats, I go with what I can afford but don't begrudge anyone that can pay the big bucks for close seats.
