Speaking of what should the fan club do... you all know they're under the impression that they offer us a wonderful service.

Well, new tour dates were announced earlier this week and the fan club sales are probably on Saturday. Just for the hell of it, I checked to see what it would cost me to fly to Nashville to take advantage of that "perk" or membership: $898.17 because of the short notice (plus a day off work and a hotel room). Brokers are cheaper than the fan club "advantage."

I don't understand how they could have ever come up with that method and though 'yeah, great idea'.... I mean, isn't it obvious how antiquated it is? Even IF you live in the same city, most likely you'll be busy with life - or work...

The only hassel I ever have where Bon Jovi shows are concerned is with Ticketmaster. But appart from that it's usually quite easy for me to see the band. There's always more than one show in England/UK and living in the Midlands is very useful. So I can usually take my pick with venues. For the London show, I'll just hop on a train and I'm there in hardly any time at all.

What?! You mean your life doesn't revolve around Bon Jovi? Never mind if you can't pay your mortgage or are fired, it's the tickets that matter

I find that the fan club is useless if you want to go to more than 1 show. For example, in my area they put the all the local dates for sale on the same day. For me that was New Jersey, New York Connecticut and Philadelphia. So I would have had to choose which show I wanted fan club seats for and then camp out overnight to get them. Meanwhile all the other shows went on sale at 10 am and there I would be - camping in a line at one venue and unable to get online. No thanks I mentioned in another thread that my daughter is a member of the Barenaked Ladies fan club. All fan club tickets are sold on line in a presale - how civilized. My son is a member of the Dave Matthews fan club - ditto - same method - presale online. Why can't the Bon Jovi fanclub make things easier for it's fans. I can even understand the 1 ticket per membership rule if there is a huge demand but not the way that they sell tickets to it's members.

I agree totally thet the FC is completely deluded in thinking the service they provide is Top shelf...I do support the fact that regional fans have a leg up but there has to be a way that out of towners can take full advantage of their membership without taking out a second mortgage.

I wonder if they've thought about splitting the FC seats into 2 categories 1/2 for at-venue sales (to amintain a regional 'leg-up' these should be the closer rows) and the other half should be made available to order by mail through the FC (still great seats just not as good as the hometown people get) This would allow us to organize plans for multiple shows more cost effectively and deffinitely provide added value for the FC membership.

I think that the FC is just lazy and wants to avoid any and all administrative rsponsibilities. They really need to start accommodating the fans a little better. I'd rather I make the decision to attend or not to attend a show rather than being eliminated due to expenses that need to be incurred..

Just my 2....no...3 cents - Keep the change,

Mikey D
