No it doesn't, I'm easily pleased one rare song per show out of 23-26 songs is not asking alot. DC is not rare.

If I'm honest this post is more in reference to Manchester not last night. We knew we'd only get one rarity with the horrible conditions and they play this after doing it in Manc for the last 3 tours. Why don't they check previous shows setlists? Stands to reason that if ppl go to one show it's their local one so most will have heard it at Manchester before.

I know I know, I am going with zero expectations of a great concert but it is the only one I could go to apart from yesterday so I rather do one more.

I may take my old banner for STBI.

You can never be tired of DC. It's one of the worlds greatest masterpieces in my book.

A set like this would be great

1. Dry County

3. Dry County
4. Dry County
5. Dry County
6. Dry County
7. Dry County
8. Dry County
9. Dry County
10. Dry County
11. Dry County
12. Dry County
13. Dry County
14. Dry County
15. Dry County
16. Dry County
17. Dry County
18. Dry County
19. Dry County
20. Dry County

Encore

21. Dry County
22. Dry County
23. Dry County

Isnt what we've been wanting, though? Don't we WANT them to play their greatest songs (which Dry County is one of) regularly?

I think Seb is the only one who gets what I'm saying - was good last night as we also got other treats but when they only do ONE rare song and it's that, yes I'm disappointed. Like the 3 Giants shows last summer, Jon knew many ppl had travelled over for those gigs so why play it 2 out of 3 nights?

I love BTBMB but it's way overplayed and a staple now, so it's become boring. Would hate that to happen with DC.

Yeah, but you're American, you've got to realize that this is about European setlists, and every European die hard has either travelled to London or Munich at some point in the last 5 years.

If you could have the choice of having Dry County again after hearing it 4 times at past tours or getting another gem like Something To Believe In, Hey God, Damned or Wild Is The Wind you haven't heard before, wouldn't you pick one of the latter 4?

I realize chances are slim you'll hear Dry County if you're in America but considering they played it 3 times on the last UK leg in 2008 most die hards from the UK and Europe have heard it multiple times now. I enjoy when I get it, but whenever I get it I also know that chances are slim of getting a gem I've not heard in a long time like what happened in Manchester and Munich.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Yeah, I get where you guys are coming from now. If I'd heard Dry County that much before, I'd rather take something else. Given the sets I've got, I'd be jumping off the walls to hear Dry County, but when I put myself in your guys' perspective I get where you're coming from.

I think it could be better if they moved it up. That opening encore slot is usually where the lone rarity is at these types of shows, so if they played Dry County earlier in the set, it would leave open that rarity slot.

However, the main reason I personally wanted Dry County to be played again was and is because it's a great song. And great songs deserve to be played, hence I'm not complaining if I get it every night, I enjoy it. It's just like I said, it's a shame that with Jon there's no such thing as Dry County and more rare stuff, he now sticks to Dry County and These Days and thinks he's got the die hards covered, while pretty much every die hard in Europe has heard both songs plenty of times now.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
I agree Seb. I LOVE Dry County, it's one of their best songs ever, and on my top 3 easily. I would love it if it was played every night, cause it deserves it big time!
But as you said, it hasn't got the die hards covered anymore, and when he chooses to play it more often, he automatically needs to throw in something even rarer, but that's what he doesn't get.
