Big Concerts has confirmed that Elvis Blue is the opening artist for Bon Jovi’s Because We Can – The Tour, presented by 94.5 KFM, 94.7 Highveld Stereo and M-Net.

In 2010, Elvis Blue won the title of M-Net Idol of the year, sharing half of his winning money with runner-up Lloyd Cele. In that year, Blue released the album simply titled Elvis Blue. His first album shot to platinum status while his most recent offering, Journey, has been nominated for three 2013 South African Music Awards (SAMA), including Male Artist of the Year, Song of The Year and Album of the Year.

Bon Jovi has sold more than 125 million albums and bringing their brand of rock ‘n’ roll to South Africa, Bon Jovi will be performing live in the country in May 2013.
The band has performed more than 2,700 concerts in over 50 countries for more than 35 million fans.
Because We Can – The Tour will also debut songs from Bon Jovi’s new album, What About Now, due out later this year, as well as performing classics such as Living on a Prayer and You Give Love a Bad Name.

Bon Jovi performs on Tuesday 7 May at Cape Town Stadium in Cape Town and on Saturday 11 May at FNB Stadium, Soccer City Complex in Johannesburg.
