Encores

So, I noticed that one of the main complaints with the setlists recently were that the encores were very short. Which is true. However, on doing some research, it becomes apparent that during this tour the main set is the longest it has ever been, at 22 songs (except for some special shows, but generally, especially during the US arena leg of the tour, the main set is shorter than this)

So, would people be happier if they took some songs out of the main set and played them in the encore instead?

A standard encore with Saturday Night, Faith & Wanted would do already. Add one 'suprise' every night, use Prayer instead of the first 3 every once in a while and the encore is as it should be.

It's the fact that they play those tired old covers in the encores when they could be playing some of thier own tunes that bothers me.

Yes. I would prefer that. And I think the fact that they're ending on a crap song like I Love This Town is THE main complaint.

i think maybe Who Says, HAND,Faith,Prayer should be 1st encore, then Sat night/wanted 2nd encore. Maybe end main set with ILTT gets it out of way early.

I kinda like the HAND/KTF/Prayer setup to end the main set right now. I do agree SIBSN should always be in the encore, as should obviously Wanted.

I know a lot of you wouldn't be hot on this, but I think IML should be in the encore too. It's stupid to have that song in the middle of the main set.

A song more in the encores is already ok!
I agree for change position of some song and put theme in the encores!

That would compliment the main set nicely I think. Leave ILTT in the main set. We know that most of the fanbase want AOD live so perfect encore choice IMO, and it has been there before so not unrealistic.

I don't mind the short encore when the main set is longer. And I think having the triple of Who Says/HAND/KTF where it is works perfect and closing the main set with LOAP is great. For the US, ILTT works well near the end since there is particular pictorial scenes specific to the city/area that are there so those always garner huge cheers. It won't work for Europe though so we'll see what happens.

It is better to play a long main set and have this 4-song encore:
1. Make A Memory
2. Blaze Of Glory (whatever version Jon feels like playing)
3. Wanted DOA
4. You Give Love A Bad Name

That way I can leave early and beat the traffic.
