Default Ending shows with a cover, kind of shocking

Im pretty shocked they are ending pretty well every show with a non BJ song. The 2 concerts Ive been to, they finished with Twist and Shout, and it was good, but I wouldn't make a trend out of it. You would think only a band not confident enough in their own material would end a show on a cover song, and its strange a band with so many big hits, is leaving those hits out to play another group's song.....and leaving that as the final impression. I think they should maybe dust off Lay Your Hands on Me and shock some people next concert. Or end shows with a rocker they don;t normally do, that would be the best way...if not a really huge hit. Anything but someone else's song.
Imagine closing with Blame it on the love of rock n roll? I think we'd take it.

I've thought the same thing many times. Even my fiance' who isn't a huge Bon Jovi fan has said that.

I thought they ended a lot of shows in OWN tour with a cover.

In Dublin they ended with a cover of One by U2 and it was excellent!

Right on Martin!!!!

Iron Maiden ended Rock In Rio performing Run To The Hills for the first time in years.... now there's a band who knows how to end a show with a band, simly spectacular....

Bon Jovi should go on the road with Iron Maiden for a tour, just to see how it's REALLY done. Then they can come back next year and give us something special - (hopefully replacing cheesy 60's covers for Maiden covers )

I agree, ending a concert with a cover song isn't my idea of a perfect ending to a perfect night... Especially T&S, as they did that in OWN and they're doing it again... Once in a while it's ok, but not as a rule...

Blame it... would be an excellent ending, I never thought of that.

Well, if they are going to finish with a cover, THAT is the kind of stuff we want to hear!

Yeah that was excellent alright!! BUt i think that was a One off cos of them being in Dublin and all! BUT still people go to a Bon Jovi concert to hear Bon Jovi songs!! I like maybe one or two covers throughout the show But Twist and Shout is kinda old now! AND @ the Dublin concert in 2000....Bon Jovi ended with Keep The Faith which was better!!

@ the concert in 2001 people were leaving the concert singing u2......@ a Bon Jovi concert that JUST ISNT RIGHT!!!!!!!

Just wish theyd root out some of the old stuff for June....... the fans wanna hear some old stuff, some new stuff and maybe some covers But most of all BON JOVI!!!!!!! IMO

They ended Milton Keynes 2001 with Prayer which was excellent, as everyone started singing it for them! And they ended Cardiff 2001 with Never Say Goobye which was again very good. They ended the last Wembley show with there own song and i cant think what it was.
I agree though that Twist and Shout should be dropped.

I think the song they ended the last Wembley show with was "THANKYOU FOR LOVING ME" from Crush.
