After the tour they are probably gonna take a break, head into the studio to record the new album, which I believe will probably be out sometime in mid 2012
The last time Bon Jovi EVER opened for a band was The Rolling Stones for a couple shows in 1995. And before that, very very early in the Slippery When Wet 1986 tour.

true... but many other big bands have joined ozzfest...

Metallica in 2008, the last time they were a supporting act was probably 1987 for Bon Jovi (2005 for rolling stones but it was just 2 shows).

Iron Maiden in 2005, maiden probably same thing, last time they were a support act was probably 80s.

never say never?

A) Bon Jovi does not belong at Ozzfest for reasons I should not have to explain.
B) It would NEVER happen, Jons ego is too big.

Do you want someone to murder them?

Bon Jovi at Ozzfest. How random. That's like saying Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers at Ozzfest.

I have no doubt there are plenty of folks at Ozzfest who love Bon Jovi, but like me, it's an entirely different gear. Then there is the fact that much of the audience-base attracted to Ozzfest literally do hate Bon Jovi and would consider it only an opportunity to throw shit at them while screaming obscenities.

But thanks for giving me the visual..... amusement of the day.

the band didn't skip NJ in 2011 nor they skipped NY in 2010 ... this is THE SAME LOCATION ...NYC/NJ ....
To say NJ NMS and NY are not the same is somehow stirring the pot !!

(I live in the paris soccer team city which is not paris per se but ST Germain .. no one here think my city and Paris are not the same for the team or for anything else that's the same for Bon Jovi in NJ or NYC... NMS is the stadium for NYC football team new york and east rutherford are the same )
Yeah in fact some parts of NJ are closer to MSG than some boroughs of NYC
I really doubt NJ will see them again unless it's for a charity show

totally go - I got Seb working it out and i really think im going so that should about solidify it for you !

other points

- it is totally ridiculous that they are not ending the tour in NJ - MSG is NOT NJ...this band has really lost sight of what is special about a hometown from the totally unspecial opening of NMS and relatively okay performances and contiuing lame setlists to not ending the tour there or even playing anywhere this leg - total loss of any focus and a big mistake

- i do not think it will happen as i think jbj is booked in august with family and acting...

- i think if they film a dvd in lisbon that might not be terrible bec honestly at this point WOULDNT THEY HAVE TO PLAY DIFFERENT SONGS BECAUSE THEIR ENITRE SETLIST HAS BEEN RELEASED HOW MANY TIMES NOW??

just my thoughts - though i agree i think we would get a lot more spontaneity if there isnt a dvd being filmed...and i hope the band sounds great and that the backing vocal tapes are rock solid per usual and hig five to the click track - he has been money all tour!

hee hee so tired...zzzzz

The NMS shows were head and shoulders above the 10 Pru shows on the LH Tour in both setlist and performance, and were way better than the HAND or Bounce Giants shows performance-wise.
