Unfortunately, i can't see it being anything other than the HRC stage, given that it's in place for the Killers the night before and Rod Stewart the night after

I was told by a reliable source during one of the Backstage Tours, that Jon had decided not to take the same stage, with all of the electronic robotics, each costing over a half million dollars, nor the circle ramp, really all of the *circle stage*, that was used in the states to Europe. They made it sound definite. Just too expensive for a multitude of reasons, that is what I and others were told.

It will be interesting to see what kind of stage set up that they (Jon) goes with overseas. But, it will def. not be the same *circle stage* --- that was used in the states.

Will it have some type of cat walk? I don't know. I do know that the circle ramp was underused in the states, I don't understand investing money, in that type of thing, if a band and/or Jon is not going to make good use of it.

IMO, I think the circle stage (set up as it was) was not a good idea. It separated the fans, far too much - the price of the tickets skyrocketed after the Lost Highway tour, as well.

At the end of the day, I agree with Terri, I don't give a rat's ass what the stage set up is, IMHO, they should play it down, get rid of some of the theatrics, a catwalk would only be a good idea, if the band makes good use of it, but for some reason, only the band is aware of, I don't think that is going to happen.

Something has changed with security, at the more recent shows, it's much tighter now than it was even last year and it was tighter last year, than at the earlier shows. Must be something going on, that is not being publicized.

Anyway, hopefully, catwalk or not, they will deliver great shows on the European leg. And, I hope that each and every one of you, that are lucky enough to attend one of these shows, has the time of your life !!!

I'm really beginning to wonder IF the band will return *intact* after this last European leg, at all?

Lord have mercy, if I could see Bon Jovi and Rod Stewart, on back to back nights, I don't know if I could handle it - LOL.

Rod puts on a very good and *personal* show and he's funny. A great entertainer --- if anyone has the chance to see him, don't pass it up.

Ok, none of the above makes sense.

First of all, I don't think anyone expected the robot arms for the summer shows. They were meant for the arena shows. However, if they hauled them over for O2, if they intended to use them this summer they would do it again.

I think it's pretty much expected they will be using the stadium circle stage. What theatrics are you talking about? You mean the big screen that is designed to bring everyone in close no matter where they are in the stadium/park while keeping their eyes centered on the actual band? How distracting! Let's do away with it.

I wouldn't mind a different stage because I've seen both stages, but I don't see the point when it's more or less the same tour and these cities have not gotten this particular stage... which is very well designed in regards to keeping it as intimate as possible in a very large capacity venue.

-The robo-arms aren't designed for outdoor shows, solely for indoor arenas. They weren't used on the US Stadium leg last year either.

Here's the seating for Bristol, I may be wrong, but that looks like a catwalk to me like at the O2, and this is a different set up from the seating plan given for Bristol 2008 which of course didn't have the catwalk.

The stage is going to be the same as it was for all of the other stadium shows so far.

Yes, exactly. The robots were never used for the outdoor shows and the screens were also not used only a big LED wall was used which was actually rented to the video company, Nocturne (usually Nocturne brings screens that they own). I too imagine that the stadium set up for the Europe shows will be similar to what was used at the US stadium shows.

I hope they bring the US stadium stage to Europe, but they could also bring that simplified version they used in South America. Did that stage have a catwalk?
