Default European Stage

During the press conference in Milan yesterday, Jon unveiled a few details about the stage for the European Tour:

"The stage will look like a Buick, a classic american car from the '60s. On the stage, we'll be surrounded by a huge grid that will represent the radiator. The front of the stage will look like a giant bumper and the headlights will hide our sound system".

He also mentioned there will be videos inspired by "Cirque du Soleil".

You can read the whole interview here (in italian):

Okkk..random!

Stage sounds cool though... no mention of a catwalk or b-stage?

That sound like possibly the first interesting stage design since the skyscraper stage on the OWN tour!

I'm starting to get the feeling that they've given some issues a lot more thought this time than most of the past decade (using the app with that animation for the new video technology, finally creating a bit more than just the standard stage of the last few tours).
Now I'm quite curious to see how this thing will look.

The last few stages have been uninspired. I hope the new one has the wow factor.

Bands like Muse & Coldplay are putting on these huge spectacles for far cheaper tickets.

No, as far as I know. He just said the stage is huge and that it is their biggest and most technological production ever.

This stage sounds cool. I wonder if the arena stage will be similar. I love cars, so it should be interesting.

I hope so. Since the seating charts were all the same I was under the impression that the arena stage would be the same from the circle tour. This would be a cool surprise.

Best bit of news is that, with six months to go, they've sold in excess of 40.000 tickets for San Siro.

Also, usual sloppiness from italian journos. La Stampa quotes him as saying, with reference to his ties with Italy "My surname is Bongiovanni..." no, it's not. It's Bongiovi. How could he have said that ?

This thing has been making the rounds in Italy since the eighties and, apparently, they haven't still bothered to double-check it.

Does anyone know if there'll be a "stage" between the DC and the GC again?
