Of course he knows. He'd be deaf if he didn't.

Kinda selfish I must admit, but I'm happy that they don't tour this year in Europe. Going to save me some money for other stuff and music.

So if they toured you'd still go, even though you clearly can't stand the current status of the band!?

Really surprised they are skipping Europe altogether, feels like 2 fingers to us tbh. I sense the band may wind down on the world tours altogether and stick closer to home.

Glad it's not just me that thinks that! So much for the support that European audiences have shown the band, even when the US didn't care! I guess it doesn't work both ways, huh....

Yeah, I guess Jon is still wanting the big bucks, even though they are probably bringing in 50% less people than they were 10-15 years ago...if that's his stance, then we may never see them over here again...

I might even see them in the USA as I might be working there during the Chicago area shows. I'd still go yes, maybe do 1 or 2.

.
Yep. When says "people don't understand the logistics of touring", I think that the price they ask to the promoters is still high, this would be logical when Jon said that if they go to Europe, it may not be the stadiums.

But who knows. I think there will be an announcement in early February, with at least 10 shows in Europe, and Walls' filtration may come as an accompaniment.

i had already saved money to see them in a european city, after matts post i have zero hope they ll come. these things are planned way ahead and looks like there were plans and for some reason the whole european tour got cancelled.

Bj have proven themselves as crowd pullers, they should offer reasonable ticket prices though and be more friendly to the younger generation, to the random concert goer etc...the prices i see are too expensive, i m sure they could pull off an arena tour in europe with sucess but they should reconsider they whole approach imo.

jon said he feels strong vocal wise, i guess the reason this tour didnt happen is that jon doesnt really want to...they could reconsider their prices, not touring at all wont make things better. the promoters may wait for a reunion or sth but at this point i guess jon considers the album a bit old and doesnt really care to sell it overseas.

he may wants to build demand/anticipation and come back with fresh material in his own terms, playing the big places. i think bj could still play 20 dates in 40.000 stadiums avg in europe

We may not understand the logistics of touring BUT the logistics are the same each tour. If it was easy to arrange a European tour every single time (till now), why has it suddenly become difficult? Imho, this has nothing to do with the logistics. I bet Jon wants more money that promoters are willing to shell out and since he didn't get what he wanted, there's no European tour. It's obvious that he'd rather not tour Europe at all than accept to lower the fee.

This about sums it up I think. There's also the possibility that they have left it so late to book that all suitable venues are booked up already for when they wanted to tour. To be honest I found Matt's comment very patronizing...

The last huge gap between two Bon Jovi European tours was 4 years (1996->2000). Now, it's already bigger than that one. By the time the band returns to Europe, it'll be 5 years after the last tour, in the best-case scenario, i.e if they come here in the autumn after all.
