Maybe Jon can review this list and diversify the set list based on what people are listening to.

PS: who ever made WWBTF rank at #12, I’m going to punch you if we ever meet. (Obviously, joking)

I'd rather punch those who got Because We Can to #11

Do you guys think This Ain't A Love Song will ever be played again? I'm just wondering whether it might make an appearance on the following leg of the tour or not. I know, Jon would definitely butcher it (or sound choppy at best), but could it be possible for it to be played in Toronto, Montreal or NYC/Newark, for instance?

Nope, I don't think it will be played ever again. Maybe, if his voice improved drastically just like in 2008 but I don't see them doing now.

I can't see it happening either. It's clearly not Jon's favourite to play from These Days and given that they've mostly ignored the entire album in the USA/Canada (bar that one or two odd exceptions) I doubt that this one will ever be played again.

I disagree. I think it will be ignored for the North American run and make sporadic appearances overseas.

I can imagine These Days and Hey God to appear at some point again. But Jon always had to be hard pressed to play This Ain't A Love Song. At least it seems this way. Remember it was the first single to sporadically get dropped on the subsequent tour in the band's career!
Already in 1996 five or six tunes off TD (at least) were chosen over the lead single at many concerts.

Hard pressed to play it? It used to be the finale for many of the shows that tour. If it’s the last song Jon left the audience with, it was one he believed in.

He might've believed in it at the time, but I'm sure he had also had faith in Only Lonely in '85 or Everyday in 2003. After their tours they vanished rather fast.
Already in 1996, when they were still touring that album, it only appeared in 35% of the shows with only Lie To Me (off the These Days songs) having been played even less.

When These Days songs got played on further tours, the songs that appeared were Hey God, Something For The Pain, These Days, Damned, Something To Believe In or Diamond Ring. This Ain't A Love Song wasn't played until 2008 and only six times within three tours afterwards.

I think it’s more of a ballad issue. Too many ballads lose the audience. They have current ballads, bigger hit ballads, and songs Jon just likes better like Whole Lot of Leaving. I love the song and would like to hear it again, but I also heard it live a few times and if it came down to that or a song I have not heard, I pick the one I haven’t heard, like Wild is the Wind.

PS: Jon, I will be in New Orleans and Atlanta should you wish to accommodate this request. 😜
