Default Extra musicians on stage

This may have been done before I joined but why has Bobby Bandiera and some extra keyboard player been added to the live show. The first time I noticed it (apart from TLFR) was at Live 8 but I see they are also on Atlantic City DVD. They've never needed 2 guitar players or keyboard players before, why now ? Also if they do need them why pretend they're not there by having them blacked out and hope nobody notices.

They're in the background because they're not part of the official band. If they were hoping nobody to notice them, then why the **** would jon say they're names and introduce Bobby before he played a solo for treat her right in the New York show?
They will be there for the tour, I think it's because the new songs need it, and quite frankly they add more atmosphere to the songs.
I would have picked a guitar played more suited for bon jovi's music but I guess Bobby can old his own, and Both Bobby and Jeff get treated like part of the Bon jovi camp so I guess that's also important to the guys.
Lot's of bands bring out extra musicians to the stage, (just look at the stones!!!)

Hey keep looking at your Ass picture and calm down. Surprisingly coming from Liverpool I wasn't at the New York show and was unaware he had announced them onstage. Plenty of bands take out extra musicians on tour. Richie Sambora had a second guitar player on his solo tour. It's just not something Bon Jovi had done before, that's all I was saying. Also on the DVD they are almost invisible kept in total darkness, that didn't happen when Pink Floyd went out with extra musicians. They may as well have been stood behind a screen. Hugh McDonald is not an official Bon Jovi member either but he gets to stand out front. All I'm saying is if they're there why not include them but maybe as you said when I see the full show they will be a bit more noticeable. I hope they don't steal any solos off Richie and Dave though!

I am calm, I just like to use curse words at random, no big deal.
I don't think they will steal any of the solo's from Richie or Dave(if he has any on this tour) but it would be understandable if they were to be given some time to shine during the show.
A short Jam Session at the end of the show would be mighty cool.
Hugh is not an official member of the ban, but he now Can move on stage!!!

The keyboard guy is kind of cool but I really hope THERE'S NO BOBBY BANDIERA on tour. That guy is so so so crap. And he looks like a younger version of Hugh McDonald. I prefer I couldn't see any of them.

At this point I'd prefer if it was just the 5 of them as it's sort of like admitting defeat when you can't perform a song live without extra help. Maybe when I see the tour I'll change my mind though. It's not really a big deal anyway but I agree Bobby Bandiera is not a great player and it will be annoying if he takes any Richie solos. I'll let him take the I Want To Be Loved solo.

Yeah I have the same problem LOL.

Bobby Bandiera is a relatively competent guitarist but a very bland one. He's kind of uninteresting and boring as a lead guitarist but as backup he should do just fine. Jon has been playing with him for years - his solo tour in 97 was with Bobby (and Hugh).

Personally I'd like to see just the 5 of them on stage BUT I do appreciate that we'll get a better sounding show out of the added musicians. When it's just Richie on guitar, it just doesnt sound as good as compared to the multiple dubs on the cd.

I have my doubts if Bobby's style will fit in to what the guys did on the Hand album.
I don't think he's used to playing songs like Last ciggarette, Novocaine or Complicated. but I guess he'll blend in like he ussually does.
