I don't get why the **** people are complaining, they're playing a gig for free. What's the problem? They're not playing for free in your country? At least they're playing there.

No, but it is one of the countries struck in the worst possible way. People ridiculing this decision kind of shows how little people actually understand of the whole touring industry and everything that's involved, and actually have little idea of how an economy works.

Like others, I'm surprised Jon decided to do the show for free. He's making sure a whole lot of local companies like local security, local bars, local hotels, local gas stations, the list is endless, get a financial boost. It's gestures like these that actually do show Jon's working class hero side, it's just a shame he has been showing it so little.

It boggles my mind how people like Mimi actually think "people are easily manipulated". You better take your blinders off and stop hating a guy for doing some good. I'm not upset for Jon not lowering his fee for Holland either, I'm happy for Spain getting a show for such low pricing. All this pointless hatred leads to nowhere.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Agreed. Its impossible to help everybody. He's chosen to help the people of Spain this time... Might be another country next. The guy really "cannot win" for some. Sure as Seb said it's too bad he hasnt been showing it more, but I don't see anything directly wrong with him doing this.

of course it's higher - have you seen how big Spain is compared to Portugal ?

exactly ! I'm not saying I wouldn't be thrilled right now if I were Spanish ! In fact, I'm happy for my Spanish neighbors. But if Jon's to do this in Spain, he oughta do this in other countries as well. Just as simple as that ! My bet is Jon wants as many people as possible to come to the Madrid gig by playing the good guy...

don't be silly Patricia. I'm not JEALOUS, I'm outraged because as you probably know it, we too are suffering from a huge economical crisis. Have you seen the news lately ? I'm sure you have. No digas tonterias, chica.

Another comment that indiciates you know **** all about statistics.

When talking about the unemployment rate they're not talking about the number of people, they're talking percentages per country. Last time I checked, Spain and Greece's unemployment rate is roughly twice as high as Portugal. Jon spoke of trying to do a similar thing for Greece, but it didn't work out, hence Spain being the only show treated like this.

Next time you'd like to complain, do some research first before you start badmouthing a situation beyond your capabilities to understand. So far you've shown nothing but hatred as opposed to a clear understanding of the situation.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan
