I'm reading some posts and it seems like we have to apologize or something because of what they'll do in my country...
You don't have to apologize for anything lol. They chosen you, that's nice but I didn't say any Spanish fan so far in this tour this is what I said. We've got more fans from here going to Milan went in Sofia. Some will go to Stuttgart some were in Munich, we've got even people going to Rock In Rio (Brazil) believe it or not. It's not just fair for everyone. I mean Greece is even worse and the Greek people as Spanish people need such a show. It's something that gives you hope for future too

Oh, and how is that a fact? Is it maybe a fact every person from Greece agrees with?

I didn't see any flag from Greece at any of the shows I went to in the U.S.A., yet Holland was represented at every single show I saw. Thus this means that the Dutch are a better crowd than the Greece, plus, it wasn't the Americans that sold out the Meadowlands stadium, it was the Dutch and Germans, the guys waving their flags. Definitely.

As I said this is disrespectful & wrong. I won't blame him but they could include Greece easily on this tour as well as in every tour.
No they couldn't. Jon has admitted before he tried doing a similar thing for Greece but it didn't work out. Doing a show is not just a matter of lowering your fee, there's a shitload of local companies involved who will need to cough up the money in advance. And when there's no money nor guarantee they'll make it back, such a thing just isn't possible.

Plus as it's a 'free' concert against the poverty/finacial problems, such a concert in Greece which has the toughest finacial measures than any other country and suffers a lot, it could be easily turned to one of the biggest PEACEFUL demonstration and just like that Bon Jovi would make history & be on every TV Show & Magazine the next day.
Yeah, dream on. Considering how PEACEFUL Greece has been so far in regards to the economic cluster**** going on in your country, I very much doubt a band doing a "free" show will make much of an impact. People keep hammering on how it's a free show, but it isn't. It's just that the 40E people from Spain are spending makes as much of an impact on their financial situation as the 80E people from Germany are spending.

This is how I see it. I don't know if someone else shares the same thought like me but this is pretty much true, and it's realistic. It could happen very easily!!
You're delusional. If there's one thing you've shown it's that you've got absolutely zero knowledge in regards to how a show is put together, neither when it comes to the organisation or from an economic point of view. Considering how you're bashing Jon for poor research I'd say you better start doing some research yourself first before you judge Jon for making the decision that he's made.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

With all the flak he's getting, this may be the last time Jon or the organization tries to do something like this for the fans.

Its a great gesture, nobody is doubting that. But its kinda like running people over in a car and then giving a free ipad to the people you didn't hit.

The price for Bon Jovi tickets elsewhere is shameful nowadays and this doesn't change that fact.

Sure, i'm not going to apologize XDDDD The thing about "read some posts" was in general, not for one in special

I agree with you!!! it would be awesome that they could do this in other cities.... In the famous interview Jon also said that they tried to do the same in Greece and Croatia but it wasn't possible, i don't know the details why they couldn't do it....

don't worry, i don't want to fight about this crowd is better than other (don't mean than i didn't have an opinion ) or we travel more than you stuff....

Exactly! Shaking heads really! What the hell?!? There should not be an expectation of any band to do a free show. Zero. End of story. If a band decides to do a free show - FOR WHATEVER REASON - kudos to them. Jon/ the other guys don't own anyone any explanation for picking Madrid and certainly, such outburst of puberty hormones like the original post are inappropriate, silly, and completely idiotic.

A free concert is the exception NOT THE NORM. People from certain countries here act as if Bon Jovi have broken some long-standing rule that economies in hardship deserve free shows. No they don't! There is no such thing as a free lunch, you might have heard that one! If you can buy a ticket, you buy it, if you can't, you don't. That's how simple it is. Now get over it already, and face reality. In the end, it's called 'show-business', not 'show-charity'!

Well it's probably gonna be their last tour because of "What About Never" and "Richie Gate".

Why do we charge some of Europe 100+ euro for a ticket ? BECAUSE WE CAN

Why do we do a free concert in Spain ? BECAUSE WE CAN

A load of arse in my case but cool beans for the Spaniards.

Saying "F**k Bon Jovi, they're doing a free show in Spain and not in Greece, that is disrespectful!" is like someone from Chaco, Argentina or, i don't know, the Brasil favelas saying "F**k Bill Gates, he's giving free vaccines and doctors to those Africans and not to us. That's disrespectful!". Yes, they're not giving you something, but it isn't their obligation.

Also, is not like they're scamming the rest of the countries, you're not paying for the gig in Spain, so what do you care? And please don't say "we're paying it because Jon made his money because of us!", 'cause our tickets aren't some government taxes where what we put got to come back as a public service, they're a business, we're buying their product and they can do with their money whatever they want.

And this doesn't make Jon an ignorant disrespectful asshole, on the contrary, this makes him a good man doing a nice thing. Period.
