Vince Neil?!? Are you kidding!? I saw them on the Carnival of Sins tour (I think that's what it was called. Whatever) Vince's voice was wrecked! You don't think all the pyro and nonsense was going on to distract you from the absolutely horrid vocals going on. I was so disappointed...to the point that it was laughable!

He sounded bloody awful. Listen to him at the Freddie MErcury Tribute Concert in 1992 when he was in his mid 40's. He DESTROYED the song (which was never released on the official VHS/DVD!).
Most of the songs played at the O2 by Zep (which ain't Zep but a tribute band) were downtuned also!
Comparing JBJ to Plant I think JBJ still has a better voice.

Neil can still hit the higher notes. Im talking pitch. Dont mistaken it with fat, overweight and out of breath. I know what your saying. I saw them in Sydney and it wasnt too bad compared to the Lewd Crued Tattoed tour. Neil actually trained for the Carnival of Sins.

For a guy in his 60's he sounded great. And the band sounded great. Like I said, quite possibly the highest voice in rock and at 60 still hits it decent enough.

Then it's sure a good thing I don't own a time machine. Don't tell me what I would enjoy and not enjoy, please and thanks.

I have a good time at the shows and that's all that matters.

Neil is terrible these days. He's not good from any standpoint. Plant sounded on and off at that O2 gig and I really doubt he could sustain the good songs on a full on tour. Bach sounds fine. Rose sounds fine. Michaels I have no clue. Rose and Bach have always had stronger voices than Jon anyway (not syaing they're better singers but stronger voices IMO).

Axl Rose ? Youre kdding ? He only screams all the time (so does BAch on his new record - which is good IMHO) and has no range at all.
JBJ (even in the 2007 shape) is still ahead of Rose (and always was). Bach is better then that's true.

Bach is one of the most underrated vocalists of all time. If only he wasn't such a huge dick, maybe he'd get some respect. Haven't heard the new album though.

No, I just don't talk it all as seriously as you do. Fiddles, no fiddles, extra guitar player, original 4, fine whatever. Me griping won't change things. A nice beat and I'm able to forget about my problems for a few hours and sing my brains out. There's a difference between being easy to please and not complaining my life away.

EDIT: Just to expand on my thoughts, I'm not saying I'm, as you would say "ignoring the obvious". This isn't really me taking what I can get. I don't think the band is all that bad this tour. Have they been better? Probably. Was I there to see them better? Nope. I wouldn't say they're better than last tour but their leagues above how I saw them on the Bounce tour. Kathleen is completely right, Richie's playing is miles better now that he's not drinking (as much...? I dont know if he's stopped completely). His playing has very much improved. Your opinion is based on one single show this tour. Others have seen many many shows and the reviews haven't been all that bad from the fans on this board.
