Also is it guaranteed that all the people who have bought gold stand tickets will also get to be in the pit with the fan club members?
Thanks

Just feel like you've been **** over by the fan club, by ticket master, by the band, by the promoters... And get used to it, Bon Jovi have become one of those bands who completely **** their fans over and over again
|
I don't agree... I understand that these kind of situations suck big time, but I don't think BSWJBJ had any choice; if they'd still be handing out more then one wristband per fanclubmember, the pits in most shows would be too small to even fit all the members right?
|
They always used to have enough space to have fan clubs taking in one extra, and letting in lots and lots of non fan club members to fill it up, you're agument falls to shreds here....
BSWJBJ should have done nothing for these shows. The fan club should get people into the pit, that's why most fans join, that's the ONLY reason I would have joined. `The gold standing get's you into the pit, and you pay more for it. It's got to be one or the other, the fan club should have advised UK fans not to join if they felt they'd get any advantages, and should just not have had any benefits from the fan clubs...
I'm sorry, but expecting people to pay so much **** money to be part of a fan club which the only benefit is that you get into the venue 15mins early is a joke!
I see the fan club as = wrist band. That's all it is, that's all it's good for. BS should have achnowledged this, and should have just be honest....
I think gold standing sucks, I'd have much much prefered to have joined the fan club and got in teh pit that way, but that wasn't how they did it.... SO, they should have dispanded with the fan club privilages.... OR they should have said fan clubs get GA, and get in the pit that way. They account in the pit for X number of fan club memebers, and only hand out that many bands. There is you're problem solved... oh wait, no it's not, they don't make as much money that way
It's a disgrace the band are putting up with this... They say they using the Stones as a roll model, does this mean for the next tour they'll be charing £150 for the pit £80 half way back, £45 for a crap view, and £35 for an obstructed view?????
If they do this next time I don't go, I'm not going to stick by a band who quite litterall **** on their fans. I know other bands would just not allow this to happen, Bon Jovi didn't instigate it Iapreciate, but they're in charge, they're the band, and so they're accountable

Sorry - u talk as if someone who is just mouthing off for the sake of it.
How it works:
BJ decide they want to do a tour.
Their promoter (BJ is a band - they hire ppl for the sound & stage setup) send info to Europe that they want to do a tour....
The local promoters then act on feedback as to whether they can get BJ to play there. If so, they put down a LARGE sum to guarentee BJ's appearance. They then decide on the ticket arrangements & prices. In UK's case - they decided to use a gold ticket system. The FC have done really well to negotiate a deal that allows FC members privalegs - that justify's the £30 we pay for it. BJ have nothig to do with it (they r a band - not a promoter) - FC have no say (they r a separate company that has done well to negotiate a deal). If u r a member of the FC - u can feel glad that this deal was brokered & that u can get the privalges your £30 deserves. If not - u r subject to the ticketing rules of the promoter. & gold tickets gains u access closer to the stage than not.
I don't understand what your problem is.
Mike
