I also would say that FC tickets for overseas shows are worth it, for those that only go to US shows, definitely not.

(Unless of course, if you want to buy the front row package to hold Jon's maracas, or go on the over priced trips hoping to interact with him somehow).

Just got a ticket for NY from the FC. The pit went fast as per the usual. I am on the floor in the back but at least I am going. Doing the pre sale has its pro and cons that I have to agree on.

I got fan club tickets for Atlanta and Memphis and I'm pleased with both, especially Memphis. I tried for Pit tickets at first, but when I saw they were $350+ each, I back out.

It's the only perk on this tour I think ..but a good perk ....only backstage membership allow you to purchase diamond circle ticket only ...europe and usa are 2 different systems ...I think like you Chris that FC tickets for europe owrth it as you cannot find those tickets anywhere else (for now ... not sure they won't pop up like for O2 closer to the date through all tickets providers ...but even if it happens the fc tickets allowed the fans get their hands on those from the beginning for a possibly descent price - with no stress about searching for tickets for months)

I think the european package don't include chairs at all ... not sure but I am quite positive so I wonder what is the *ultimate perk* (tongue in cheek as I think those chairs are ugly) in europe with the packages

It's good compared to what regular ticket outlets sell, but Backstage's system is still a rip off. If you pay for a membership fee you shouldn't need to pay for service fees and other additional fees per ticket. You've already covered those costs with your membership fee. Adding a fee to the ticket that's about 25% of the ticket price is ridiculous and it's making the tickets even more overpriced than they already are.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Seb I TOTALLY AGREE with that ! The fees are a rip off ... but to me the diamond circle location is what I want ..not the first row I am not a first row only person but I want to be inside the pit under the stage ... backstage only offers the ticket only for that .. for now nowhere else offered those ....
this said I am pretty sure close to the day of the show maybe TM will sell those DC ticket only ... then i will know how much I lost on every ticket I managed to get ...
I wish I was tall enough to see well from GC so i could have purchased those from different sellers ....

Well, you are in the same situation as I am. We have to travel for the shows so we have to buy the tickets early and plan our trip. That TM offers DC only some day just helps the people who live near the venue which you and I don't do.

And the prices weren't too bad at the fanclub for most concerts. Just Athens and Oslo are very expensive. But I do shows like HOrsens and Edinburgh where the costs for the DC ticket only are okay in my opinion. At least by far not as high as I expected them to be.

Don't forget that as FC members are allowed to buy tickets for non members (yes I know the limit), they have to somehow recover the lost fees in memberships.
