I should have known better than to say nice things about the fan club the day before a presale! The floor tickets they offered for Atlanta were WAY worse than what we got for the 2010 show. Sorry guys, I'm not moving back a bunch of rows and toward the outside aisles just because you want to tie up more tickets in packages. There were lots of late drop tickets for Atlanta on Ticketmaster, and there will be more this time around if that's where all those tickets went. I'll play the waiting game again.

When I bought better tickets from the fan club for night 3 at Madison Square Garden than they offered me for Atlanta, something is way out of whack!

On the other hand, there seemed to be more people saying that they got pit tickets, so perhaps they freed up some more of those at each show. Good for those who wanted to be in the pit, but that wasn't my aim.

They don't lose any money over them, they make money on the tickets anyway. There's no such thing as a lost fee because the whole idea of a fee is pointless when it's a computer generated system.

No worries. I'll find what I want. I just have to get a new dose of patience.

Interestingly enough, the ticket price for Atlanta was $4.00 less than last year, and the fee was about $8.00 less. I've bought other fan club tickets this year, but they weren't at venues I'd been to last year. This was the first chance for a direct comparison.

Thanks. I'll still get my ticket, and I'll still go to the show. I'll just be fighting the good fight on Ticketmaster when they end the VIP sales and finally FREE the tickets! I didn't decide to go to Pittsburgh until they announced the second show, so I hadn't bought a ticket for the first night on the pre-sale. I haunted TM and got what I wanted. This is when being a little obsessive (Is there such a thing? ) comes in handy!

LOL I think we all are guilty of the obsessive thing ... the fans always have the tickets they wanted the day of the show anyway it just depends on how long they stressed for it and how much it costed them ... but the ticket will always end in the fan's hand at the end .... good for you you are waiting for the good tickets to become cheaper until the end ...
I think most fans decide which show they will go by picking up randomly the tickets which ended cheaper last minute too..I have witnessed that for the circle tour last leg in the usa the fans couldn't resist to the appeal of cheap tickets at the last minutes ..I know many fans who added a show they didn't plan to go because the tickets were cheap but I don't know many fans like you who don't buy tickets until they get cheap the usual pattern is they buy tickets multiple times and sell them or waste them (then no the cheap ticket is not that cheap as it's a cheap ticket plus a one or 2 other tickets purchased before it )

But most fans always get the ticket they want (because all in all sorry but the band is not that hot that the tickets are really selling fast .. there is always THE NEEDED TICKET available ) what is not always the same scenarios is how to get it ...

Correct me if I'm wrong but I've always found when I buy tix at TM the first day of the sale (public) the price is always cheaper then when they're released weeks later.

For example, I purchased floor seats for Feb 24 MSG for $154 when they first went on sale to the public, I looked earlier today for floor seats in the same area and they're going for $331. Will these go down in price as the date gets nearer?

Am contemplating whether to go to Nassau Colisseum on May 6.

Love the "cartoon characters" of you guys; great job whoever put that together.

Those MSG prices shouldn't be for the same section. The first two rows of floor sections are $331, but the last row of floor sections is $154, if I'm not mistaken. Sometimes there are deals on tickets at shows that don't sell well, but MSG almost certainly won't be like that. The only "discount" that happens is that seats that were part of packages that didn't sell end up being converted into regular tickets.

When Kid Rock opened last year I brought a pit ticket from his fan club, it only cost me $10 to join and I could swear his fees were less if there were any. Many FC's use TM as their source of selling pre sale tickets instead of using their own. I went to see Linkin Park Friday at MSG and trying to get tickets from them was a worse ordeal then BS. They had to go to TM to make up for their own system not working. I see Seb's point but don't most Fan Clubs charge fees when they sell them through an outside company? I am happy with my 10th row seat for Nassau Coliseum on the right side, so I can't complain.

On a side note from the moment LP took that stage nobody sat down anywhere in the arena. I don't get the audience phenomenon.

You have to be very careful when you purchase tickets in TM, just a row can make a difference in price. I have never seen tickets in the presales cheaper than later on, just the contrary.

As it has been pointed out many times, the presale doesn't mean better tickets, but having tickets first.
