Fan Club Q&A footage - JBJ goes through the setlist options

You can see why though. Why go to a meeting of people who are primarily interested in Jon and pray to his golden ass every night?

Don't get me wrong, I am sure there are some people on those backstage trips who are actually interested in Richie, Dave, Tico and Hugh, but from my point of view, the majority of FC members joined because of Jon. So if was a band member, why would I show up for a gathering of a fanclub that doesn't even have the name of my band in it? There are better things to do in life.

Me and a few others had been trying to get Richie into this Q & A, wrote/tweeted to Matt/Runawaytours/Bonjovi. No answer of course. A friend sent finally a PM to Matt on BS and his response was a plain NO, THAT WON'T HAPPEN. No reason of course. So we did what we could.

Someone asked me in another thread, which question I wanted to ask. I would have asked (basically) why Richies solo song has disappeared from the current setlists. I had no chance to ask, it wasn't probably the smartest idea to wear a Richie shirt

It was my first Q & A and didn't actually know what to expect. It was interesting but nothing I have to repeat. The soundcheck last year at NMS was more value for me.

A Q&A including more band members, would be worth the $$ but as the club is Jon's , he is not going to take the chance to be upstaged by someone else.

I agree with you that a soundcheck is 100% better perk than a Q&A, most of the time is wasted with the same questions and those not able to ask theirs, end up disappointed, in a souncheck everyone wins.

The name is called Backstage With Jon Bon Jovi but in all honesty, Jon is not that interested either. This is more Matt's fanclub, not in the sense that it's a fanclub for Matt but Matt is the main one behind it all. When Jon's mother was running it, it was much better but even then she had to pull hard to get Jon to do things. There's so much going on in Jon's life, the fanclub is a small part of it. He knows what goes on and is interested but it's not the be all and end all for him. The recent situation regarding the llady who used to run the line-up. Jon still doesn't have a clue that has happened and she was let go. He had his knee injury, then surgery, now on vacation. Doesn't have a clue, that is all Matt.

The reason seems fairly obvious, Richie won't, and doesn't want to, and really shouldn't have to answer any questions about his struggles, not to the press, or even to fans. It's his personal fight, but you can bet someone would have brought it up had he been there.

As for Jon being engaged, it seems to depend. I've been at Q&A type things where he was very attentive etc.... this one got started late, very late I'm told so Jon may have been a bit over it by the time they actually got going.

The message to Matt and his answer happened many weeks before Richie's recent struggles.

It baffles me why anyone would pay to do something like that or a soundcheck for that matter.
