Good news from Mannheim, regarding the fan club arrangements.

According to txt msg I got from Taija, everything had gone absolutely PERFECT there today, from start to finish. They're sitting by the barricade there at the moment, front row centre stage, and are (again) thanking a Swiss girl named Carola for sorting everything out with the security. Apparently they used The List, and the security took it seriously and everything worked out really well. When everyone had got their wristbands and the fan club gate was opened, people were practically walking in in pairs... Everybody remained calm, probably mostly because the security had threatened to cut everyone's wristbands off if ppl started running. I say whatever works, as long as the whole thing is handled in a civilised manner, without people pushing and shoving and trying to jump the queue and get in front of people they have no place getting in front of.

Indeed, Amsterdam went perfect! I guess around 550 fanclubmembers and no chaos at all! There was a List, but the purpose isn't really clear to me. I guess the main reason for such a thing is for the people in the front so they are more secure of their front row. And, I must admit, The List gives people the feeling it is all 'official'. I mean people won't jump the row and stay calm all the way into the pit. Security (Mojo) was fine this time!

I did see some angry and disappointed faces from the general public when they came running in to find out there was no entrance to the pit anymore... I heard people were actually crying over this... I can imagine... Been there, done that...

The concert itself was good... Not absolutely great, but good... The sound was HORRIBLE during the first 3 songs but they fixed that... The stage looked great, but I expected more ... So it wasn't their best concert, but is sure kicked ass...

Greetz,

michel

The point of the list is that ppl who have got there at midnight the night before & braved the cold earth, aren't done out of a place!

I can see that, but in Amsterdam, it wasn't a big deal because the line where we lined up was the same as the gate... So right after they handed out the wristbands, we followed the line into the pit...
