hehehe......

I occasionally score first or second row tickets through the presale. It all depends on the band and how they choose to distribute their tickets.

I've also spent my teenage years in the first rows of Motley Crue, White Lion (LOL), Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Ozzy..... and so forth. First row was the way to go for me when I was young. Did I ever sit in line over night to get there? Hell no. Often, I didn't even have arena tickets I was the line nazis nightmare (fortunately we didn't have them back then) and proud of it.

Wanting to be in first row does not make you any less of an adult. Sleeping outside a venue to get there, does make you mighty, ehm, young? In my eyes.

We don't tell you to be there early, and we don't tell you to stand in line for hours. its up to you when you arrive. we just make those lines and rules, since its more fair and not as painful as it used to be in the last years. I remember laying under a a barickade after everyone was pushing so hard. after that I was shocked and we thought we had to change that. And I think you have to agree that it worked very well on the last tour!!!???
I am personally one of those "non-adults" which are sleeping infront of the venue. Just because I do that, why shouldn't I be no adult? For me its a lot of fun, I met a lot of people and its just a big family. I rather think that people who are being fighting, hitting, ..... are not considered as crown ups - but thats just my way of thinking and don't want to get into a discussion because of that, since everyone is old enough here.
You know, we don't try to force you to like those rules, but we just want you to be a little more understanding. If we all help together it will work out - like it did last tour.
It's not so much fun for us either, to talk to the securities over and over again, to explain over and over again, but we do it for the fans.
You should know that if we wouldn't have been doing that, most of the venues, we wouldn't have get the FC entrance. Most of the securities don't know or don't care! Think about that for a change! What do you like more, standing in line with 20.000 others and run for your life or have a special entrance, where everything runs smooth, you are able to WALK into the pit without stress, get your wristband, have enough space around you,......???

most ppl on this board are not in the fanclub- moreover the majority is strongly against those guys. and if you would see things more differenciated (don't know if that word exists in english*g*) you'd come to the point that you have to do that yourself cause bswjbj doesn't give a sh!t bout you. otherwise THEY would organise that stuff- on the upcoming tour you won't have ANY reward for your 50$/€ cause for some shows gold standing is available for everyone who's willing to pay a shitload of money. the most you'll get is to be first in the double barricaded area but i don't think there's a big difference of standing in the first or in the 5th row. but, hey- actually there IS a difference: you guys waited for 36h in front of the stadium, you paid 99€ for the tickets and 50€ fan club fee- the others can come in when they want to and have the security to be in the double barricaded area, too- meaning: they paid 99€ for the ticket, nothing for the fan club, and if they want to they can come when bj enters the stage and those guys are bout 5 meters farer away than you are. and i'm talking bout linz only, for sure.

and another thing i didn't really get: your queueing-stuff is only for the fanclub guys, isn't it? cause it would be against the laws of every single country to tell someone who's not affiliated to your club what to do or when/where to get a number.

Hey Martin,
we know a lot of people on this board are non-backstage-members. but there are also a lot of people on here that are members. I know that because last tour I've met several of them, and they all said they posted here. We know that there is a group here that is (or close to) hating backstage. I thought the main reason for that was because you can't post everything you want over there. I also think they are to strict when it comes to posting things, but they are very clear about that, so I know there are other boards where I can post that stuff. For instance: this site. Even though here you get the oposite of backstage; you can post so much over here, that people stop posting things because they are attacted by some regulars here. So even though there is a group here that is known as anti-backstagers, there is also a group that is having fun posting here, but is also a member of bacstage. Because there is this freedom on this site, we thought it was okay to post our message here. so we did.

about backstage not giving a crap: true that they don't participate before the shows. true that you can't post about this stuff on their site. True that we take matters in own hand because they don't arive early in the morning. But they do arrange an entrance for us. They do think the way it's organised by us is helpfull and they do tell us that (they did last tour). They do use the system as soon as we are going inside the venue. Last tour a couple of guys working for bon jovi / backstage were at every show making sure the fanclubmembers got in early and got in fair and got in relaxed.

the discussion about what the difference is between standing front row and standing 5th row has been going on here already. Some people (like me) do think it's a difference. some don't. but that's probably the reason why some are going to the venue in the middle of the night and why some just arrive in the early afternoon.

this idea of queue-ing is indeed for the fanclubline. but these guidelines are posted because we all try and make waiting as easy as possible, not to tell people what to do. is there a law that says you cannot jump the queue when you're waiting in at the postoffice? probably not, but it's something that is not tolerated. you should see this as the same thing. organising this line is meant to make waiting more comfortableand easy.

well, I am aware that some people won't agree, some won't understand and some just don't agree to disagree. but I know there are a lot of people out there who are very happy with this whole early-entrance happening and the organisation.

a good day to ya'll!

I wish you the same thing. Just to make things clear: I wasn't offended or anything. I understand there are different point of views. I respect that people think waiting this long is crazy, as I hope they respect us thinking it's ok and even worth it.
talking about the anti-backstage-group, I was talking in general. There are some people in here that really do hate backstage and all their members. I think they should stop looking black and white and see the grey.
well, enough said. have a nice day right back at ya!

Another point, since theres all this golden ticket stuff anyway and no fanclub presale.. why exactly would the fanclub have their own little line?? Someone help me out here?
If theres a load of people with golden tickets queing to get up, and then one for the fanclub members with exactly the same tickets I really dont get that? And certainly if it is the case that theres no difference I'll just join the first line I see and none of this number bollocks

Fan club members will hopefully get early entrance
Looks like thats what we get this tour for our $40

Really, you could queue in the fan club line. I dont know how it was anywhere else last time but the security guys in Dublin didnt even check to see if you had a fan club card. It would have been be pretty easy to get in there.
