I can't see why the so called die-hard fans boast so much of being with the band almost from the beginning instead of being happy that the family is growing, not shrinking to the very same old faces. I joined the BJ community about two years ago when the band was obviously on a hiatus and the whole drama of Richie's leaving wasn't that much of a sore spot anymore. I AM catching up on everything, spending ridiculously a lot of time on reading/listening to/watching everything I could possibly do and trying to fit it this incredibly tight-knit fandom. It's not the first fandom I'm in and I can't lump all BJ fans together. I'm a bit disheartened at times, though, because I strongly believe that, unless somebody is trolling hard, we should embrace all individuals as they come, with their different opinions. Loving the band does not mean sugarcoating their every damn move, let alone igniting the fights among the community who is better at whatever. The band has succeeded in being together for 30+ years and this is longevity most fans can just dream of because as I've said, it's a constant flow!
