Got no problem with Jon though. Just same old post 2013 Jon out there. He could've sounded 25% bearable if the background vocals was not that dreadful. I guess they'll have an acoustic setlist for their HOF Performance if he sounds like that.

Just can't expect a lot to this band anymore. Same goes to Jon. He's only doing it for ego purposes or that NFL matter that he really wanted. It's not about passion anymore.
I’m starting to feel the same way. Musically they sound so tired now - musically and lyrically. Even his twitter post annoyed me yesterday about drinking his bloody wine after the show. If he put as much effort and passion into his music as he does his outside interests we might see the old Bon Jovi again!

Just watched the whole show, and yes, Jon's vocals on When We Were Us and (obviously) Who Says sucked ass. He also sounded shockingly bad (with two MAJOR cracks; ironically, iHeart 2012 came to my mind immediately when I heard them) near the end of Lay Your Hands.

However, are my ears playing tricks on me or did JBJ sound pretty damn solid (for his post-July '13 standards) on both Bad Name and It's My Life? Medicine was a complete mess during the verses, but the choruses on that one also were stronger than in years (although the high notes were basically shouted).

Overall, I think that after this tour it's time for Jon to retire. He can no longer do even the new songs any justice vocally and at least 85% of his current performances are painful to watch as a whole, not only in terms of his vocals on them. Yeah, I know that I'm starting to sound like Seb, but this gig (and a long while of finally thinking these things deeper than before) showed me that pessimism is the best option at this point. Ol' Jonny's done, permanently.

You know things aren't well in Joviland when I say that I'd take most performances from the 2015 Asian tour over this one:

True, but it was recorded on the same day as Bad Name (January 17).

Not pretty sure about this though, but I think he's that guy that sounds flat during LYHOM. Or maybe that's just Everett.

At 1:26 in the line "will never change". Is this a playback or some type of error? Because it's definitely Jon's voice under Jon's voice.

Probably an error because Jon's singing over that. I think the thing you hear over Jon's live voice is from the original song

I think the audio was quite a bit doctored afterwards. Remember that the performance was about a month ago, so they had enough time for that.

It's doctored. You hear Everett's backing vocals during the second verse but he's not singing, it's most obvious at 1:43. At 2 minutes in the audio is off sync as well as Jon's not pronouncing the same thing you're hearing. I've a feeling it's autotuned, there's no way he's suddenly able to sing an entire song in key when he wasn't able to sing anything right a year before. This was probably just as bad as iHeart.

Salaam Aleikum,
Sebastiaan

Speaking of Everett, exactly what is it that he contributes to the band aside from visual diversity?
