PS. Does anybody have any idea about whether he went for the long note during the final chorus of Hallelujah or not?
His voice has always been problematic in some leg of the tour since Many years ago, but it was the overexertion during the BWC Tour that has caused irreversible damage.

Says who? Is that theory or fact?

He would not be working harder than ever NOW when he could easily end the pressure he puts on himself. Even Phil said in an interview a while back that no one works harder than Jon. Actually, so did Dorothea, albeit on a different subject matter.
He may be emotional now having completely lost his voice but in 2013 money was the main motivation. I'm not saying it's always been about money (because it clearly wasn't) but BWC tour definitely was.

He learned a valuable (and painful) lesson and admitted himself it was a mistake. I really liked the Burning bridges album. It was honest and had substance.

I haven't given up hope yet. If he's working hard to improve, we will see results. If it's not an act, some of that sincerity would be very welcome in the new songs as well.

I was at the event last night. I know this board likes to shit on his vocals because it’s not 1989 anymore. I can honestly say live he sounded fantastic. Perhaps the video quality posted isn’t stellar. There was also something a bit odd with the sound at the event as there was a slight echo after he sang.

1. A fan asked him to sing a verse of Silent Night...he tried but literally couldn’t remember any of the words. It was hilarious as he took it in stride.

2. Both Amen and Halliluah sounded amazing. He went for all the notes on Halliluah and hit them well

3. He said he wasn’t going to Europe.....because he was lazy. His words.

4. He said the NFL dream is dead because he can’t afford it anymore. The Panthers are rumored at 2.3 billion which is twice what are he Bills sold for. He said he is priced out

5. Really interesting question from a fan was if Jon could ask the fans something, what would it be. He answered with....are we over the Richie thing yet? Really funny. Then asked what 3 songs audience thinks he should play at Rock hall. Said LOAP will be one....hunted Itd My Life and said maybe a new song...because he wants to represent all 17 albums, and because he still makes music which he is proud of

6. Loves the two new songs....said he is as proud of when we were us as he was of early stuff

7. When he choked up about his voice, it was absolutely genuine. He needed to take about s minute to compose himself.

8. Most importantly, I got him to autograph my arm got a tattoo under lyrics of LOAP I have. It was awesome.

does anyone have a link to I Will Drive You Home? I'm very curious to hear that one, as it is my favorite song from THINFS.
