Try this challenge (it might be harder for you) - can you say anything POSITIVE about the experience? Try... we know you can do it... .like the little engine that could?

I thought the UK setlists were ok!
I don't think a show would have the same great crowd/band interaction if they didn't do the hits and the faves like Capt. crash, Saturday Night, Raise your hands, etc.
The reason Wolves and Manchester were short was because the band had a plane to catch. I think they wouldv'e stayed longer if this wasn't the case, as the crowd reactions were incredible, more so in Manchester.
Glasgow was good, but Jon had to work very hard to get them going!
Joey was the highlight for me at that show.

As for Hyde Park, the London shows are usually the pinnacle on the tour and so it was obvious this one was going to be a bit more special.

I for one had an amazing time at all of the gigs but I stil think Munich was the best, simply because of the long set and the impromptuness of it all!

Leave it to you to just turn violent. Some sort of hormonal imbalance? Some sort of testosterone-laden complex? You can't add ANYTHING intelligent to this thread so you resort to that. Twenty years old? Hard to believe.

it's also hard to believe how you're able to comment on UK shows.....i'm sure that was a basis to one of your former arguments?

Were the UK set lists good? Yeah. Were they great? No, they certainly were not great. At least if "great" is measured by variety and the appearance of rarities, etc.

Like I said in the "Back home..." post, I have now seen more or less the same basic set list 31 times since August 2000, give and take a handful of songs related to each released album (Crush, OWN and Bounce). And even though I know that every show is different, whether the set list is changed or not, I can't help feeling that there's just too much of the same old same old in the current set lists to justify yet another ridiculously expensive tour. It breaks my heart to say that, cause I truly love going to Bon Jovi shows, but that's how I feel at the moment anyway. I know I'll probably feel different in a few years' time, if that's how long it takes for the guys to tour again, but right now, right after this tour, that's how it unfortunately feels like.

If the band was to get back to the 1996 style shows, with maybe an acoustic bit in the middle or something else as special as that, I wouldn't think twice before getting myself in debt once again for another tour. But if they still keep doing these same set lists on the next tour, whenever that will be, I really don't know... There are SO many songs they should definitely include in the set lists (Something To Believe In, These Days, Diamond Ring, Hey God, something else from TD, Love For Sale, Ride Cowboy Ride, Wild Is The Wind, Stick To Your Guns, I'd Die For You, Living In Sin, Dry County, Blame It On The Love Of Rock'n'Roll, Two Story Town, something from the first two albums in addition to Runaway, etc), and so many others they should do away with ASAP (I Got The Girl, Captain Crash [yes, despite the "swinging"], Everyday [do we need another IML in the set list?], Wild In The Streets or Raise Your Hands [two very similar songs, they should keep one and lose the other and change that around too from show to show], Saturday Nite, Bad Medicine and ESPECIALLY Shout).

In my personal and very humble opinion, the only songs that should belong in the basic set list "skeleton" are Prayer, Bad Name, Wanted, IML and possibly Bounce and KTF. Everything else should be replaceable, and they should also MAKE some changes for every show. And no, that doesn't mean changing the order of the songs or swapping maybe one or two songs for something else. To be able to say that their set list actually varies from show to show, Jon should swap, say, 6-12 songs every nite, and also keep changing the order of the songs, according to whatever criteria he wants to use. If they had maybe 40-60 songs practiced for a tour and played an average of 24 songs at each show, they would indeed have numerous combinations for those songs, and wouldn't have to keep playing the same set lists over and over again.

i see yr point (and completely agree), but BJ is playing for the masses, and either tho the sets were pretty static i was happy with wot i got to hear. also laot fo the osngs u chose to omit and put in, i knwo alot of other ppl wouldnt agree...so i guess it comes down to personal opinion, every listener is different..

I can't comment on the UK shows as I wasn't there in person... however, I find it equally hard to believe that someone who WAS at some UK shows took the time to come to this board and post 99% negative things about the show without nothing more than a "I enjoyed it" as a introduction to a littany of complaints.
