It would be interesting to actually hear your views about the subject.... as opposed to what we should think & we r wrong if we think it....

I wasn't at the UK shows, therefore my opinion would be based solely upon set lists and fan reports... which is the very point I've been making. If you're at the shows, your opinions carry more weight than if you're not. So why would I intentionally argue against my own point.
I still maintain that this board has such a hard-on about the fan club board and fans who are worshipping Bon Jovi, that a handful go overboard and dwell strictly on the negative as if it's a sport.

You are on a topic about the UK tour and you haven't seen a show. Yet you think you can't pass any judgement without being at one.... I've been to two shows yet I've been told by you that I'm assesing them in the wrong way

So the point of you coming on this topic wasn't to talk about the UK shows, but to tell everybody that their opinions are not valid, and people should not discuss the band... So tell me, what should we be discussing on a Bon Jovi board?

Derek - once more you resort to insults and jibes to get your point across.

Also - some, if not all of your replies to my original points are so wide of the mark its amazing. Go to the official site, on the road section and check out the celebs that went to the Dublin show, Arnie Schwz?!!!

I am utterly confused by a number of things.

1. Your inability to post a single email without insulting anyone
2. Your clear use of Joey Trib. word of the day toilet paper which clearly masks your redneck status
and

3. Your bland, middle of the road stance when it comes to the band. You just seem to argue against any person who has an opinion about the band, good or bad.

which leads me to believe you are just a big piss taker.

So, I gave you a challenge before, which you had a fairly decent attempt at, so heres another.

Tell us the follwoing things

1. Just what do you think to BJ as a band live
2. Whats your favourite BJ album
3. Whats the worst thing about the band
4. Whats your least favourite BJ album
5. Aside from BJ, name three other bands that you rate

At least then I might get some idea where all this misguided aggression is coming from, go on, dare ya!

bare in mind that you'll either get a sickly smug 'I don't have to prove myself to you' reply to this, or a one word, or one short paragraph on each of those points James. I don't want to know what your fav album is, I want to know why, what about it that makes it special e.t.c. Not just one word answers.

You DARE me? Ohhh... is that a double dog dare? Grow up.

1) This e-mail won't insult anyone. Happy now?
2) Sorry if my words are too difficult to understand. I try harder to dumb down my vocabulary. Oops, see... you already made me break the vow I made in response #1 but then again, you asked for that now, didn't you?
3) No- I'm not a pisstaker but then again, you're a newbie here. See you just proved a point of mine. Becuase I have a life. Because I have a clear perspective on what the band and their music mean within my life, and I don't get my panties all in a twist over ridiculous minutae, I'm bland and middle of the road? Why do you have to be 100% devoted and obsessed with this band to have your opinion matter? My life doesn't revolve around the band their music. That doesn't make me bland or a midlle-of-the-road fan. That makes me your average normal fan. Like it or not, a lot of the fans on this board, as plentiful as there are, are a small fringe community. Just because I refuse to be sucked into that world doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone else. And yes, you're right, Mick. I don't need to justify my fanhood to anyone at all. You can't label me and you can't tell other what kind of fan they are...

4) Bon Jovi as a live band kicks ass. I think there are handful of bands that can perform at the level they do after 20 years. I think they have a chemistry that can't be replicated. I think their shows are a lot of fun and worth the money and time spent on my part because I go home happy.

5) My favorite album varies... sometimes it's These Days... sometimes it's Jersey. Sometimes lately it's been Bounce. Depends on the mood I'm in. You're not forced to declare just one for all eternity.

6) The worst thing about the band? That it's a band and the media keeps insisting on focusing on Jon instead. That their tours don't cover enough territories. That they don't get enough respect or credibility within the industry. That they insist on rhyming lie, die, fry, why, high and my...

7) Runaway and 7800 are tough to swallow all these years later. Some songs are still OK but I'm hardpressed to say the last time I actually listened to either the full way through.

8) I like Aerosmith. I like Pearl Jam. I like Foo FIghters. I like some Metallica. I like the Stones. I like Robbie Williams.

There... now I'm up to the so-called challenge....

you are actually fairly balanced and have just shown you can produce a sensible answer!

my question is:

how old are you?

yo seem intent on telling us 18/19/20 year olds that we're juvenile but you don't disclose your own age.
