Well-- I know all of these posts have good points, but remember, this is the end of the tour. I believe at every, well maybe most of the ends provided sick setlists. Remember, Bon Jovi usually ends at Giant's Stadium, but they aren't this year, so my point is that the band would put the NY shows in place of the Giant's Stadium shows setlists? I figured I would add that in since no one stated it yet.

I remember when every rarity that was played elsewhere was played at Giant's Stadium; Dry County; Wild is the Wind, etc. I just hope that there are great shows till' the end of this tour. People really do pay great money to see the band, but who is to say that the band sucked? I mean, people will have different reactions, right? Past two shows, the sets weren't that hefty, but the performances sounded great from what I have seen, and a couple people said the band put on one hell of a performance for what was played. I guess (I have said this before) we'll just have to wait and see!

Regards,

Jason F.

It's about time that Dry County makes an appearance on an official DVD

Btw yomamasofat, does it absolutely have to be:

Blood On Blood
In These Arms

As long as they get played surely you would be happy?
Absolutely yes! If they play those 2 songs in a show, I don't mind if they play She's A Mystery, the 6 TD songs that I hate and some of the Bounce/LH turds in the same show!

We've kind of all stated that.
Listen I'm not trying to bash you here, really. I think your cool, and frankly I try not to bash anyone here (unless they're a dick, or Born To Run), but use common sense here. The Central Park show will be a major media event, full of casual fans. Not the place where they will break out rare tracks, except . The show will be hit-heavy. Now I'm not sating that's a bad thing, as I think an all hit concert in that atmosphere COULD be great IF it's performed well. The Garden dates are where I hope/think some of those rarities will come out to play.

If it is a DVD shoot, I think the setlists are gonna stay the same both nights. With small changes made in the encores.

The only thing I hope is that they're not thinking on opening with Prayer/Bad name again since that opening is already on two official DVD's.

-I actually think the opposite.
I think the regulars will be the same will be the same, and they'll mix up the rarities. Then mix and match the DVD with performances from both nights.
I hope they're different anyway.

-It's funny you mention that, cause I have a feeling CP opens with Prayer/Bad Name.

Well I am using common sense. Fans came out at 2 in the morning to get tickets, would you call those "casual" fans? I am just saying... I am looking forward to this concert, and it doesn't matter how it turns out, I mean in a way it does, because I want a great show, but it's Central Park, and the atmosphere will be great. I understand what you are saying. But since this concert is going to be placed in the record books (I hope), well why not play some great songs that haven't been played in a while? I expect a lot of hits, and I want to hear them. I love LOAP because the crowd singing along to it is electrifying, but why couldn't we hear Wild is the Wind, or Dry County? Dry County has one of the sickest guitar solos in all of music. People would like to hear it. Just stating my opinion, as we are all entitled to one.

Regards,

Jason F.

Because, (and it pains me to say it, REALLY does) those songs will bore the hell out of casual fans who want to sing along with Bon Jovi in Central Park.
Jon will not do that, and will not "kill" the crowd in a (relatively) short, MLB sponsored public concert that will get a lot of media coverage. That's all I mean by common sense. I think there's a good shot for Always.
Are they casual fans, no.
But:
1. You have people who are going for the "event" aspect of it.
2. Bon Jovi have enough hit singles, that there are a lot of people who are casual, yet can still probably recite 20-30 BJ songs. However, I'd venture a guess that most of them don't know rare album tracks. Especially ones that have barely been played in over a decade on this continent.
3. And I'm EXTREMELY excited about all three shows I'm going to. But I'm also being a realist, and looking at everything I know about the band to make an educated assumption here.
