So why are you rabbiting on about a greatest hits two tour then?.

They've only had one worldwide hit since Crossroad anyway.

I'm really not sure why they did decided to ditch the initial LH set up for this bigger more expensive production. I guess I'm not convinced anymore that any sort of GHII tour will even happen.

I'm not that's exactly it. I'm saying I don't think they will do one but if they were I don't think it would be a big deal to re-use the stage. Big difference.

its not a bloody musical, I hate all the overdone sets its to much, flashing lights etc, I would prefer it to be simpler and for the set lists to be changed/different so the music stands out.

U2's Pop mart tour in 1997 (which I still think holds the record for biggest video screen) ended up not making nearly as much money as they hoped.

The stage and huge lemon was obviously a ludicrous idea. Looked good though!

The stage design of a tour has to be in sync with the band and the band's genre and legacy. Bands like U2 are going to have a enourmous stage set like they always have. Bands like Bruce and Pearl Jam are going to have a bare bones set and just play whatever they want (I found those two acts to have the most "randomness and surprises" in their sets, equivalent to what the fans here are always edging for in Jovi's sets). However, Bon Jovi is not like Bruce. Heck, the only equivalent they have is that they're from Jesery. It ends there. They aren't even from the same generation, Bruce is about 10 years older. So, my point is, Bon Jovi are a showy band, similar to the U2's and the Van Halen's. They have an elegant stage set that reminds the fans of the album that they're touring for and the overall "aura" of the album and tour. See Bounce's stage set for example with the satellite's...that was the album cover! The Have A Nice Day tour with the giant smirk logo to start off Last Man Standing to unveil the band with Jon in the crowd. That's the "show" that Bon Jovi put on. I honestly think BJ and Bruce are the two positive extremes for a live show. On one end you have pure music and energy and on the other you have an entertaining live experience with the whole package.

If i remember correctly the stage for KTF was 2 catwalks but not much else ,right?
As Kathleen and Seb says I couldn't care less about videos, smirks or whatever I barely notice them anyways during a show as I concentrate on the people on stage and the music being played.

Indeed, what can you expect from a band that was a child of the 80s?!

Although, as I said earlier, they seem to have lost something of that overall "aura" of the album and tour in the case of this leg of the LH Tour
